Sometimes people cannot comprehend such simple things, it is a closed-source software for a reason.
(I guess someone needs to study deeper about their information ethics).

@cell9 NTW-CFW was one of best cfw tool for the 3ds, even though i haven't used it yet, i can guarantee that with the positive feedbacks that you are receiving! Cheers for you @cell9! you're the best!

(Was planning to install ntr when i was greeted with that sudden discontinuation).

I truly appreciated and it's really sad to see you leave.

If I were you, I would keep making NTR bigger and better and never make it open source.

Let those who want it open source become more and more jealous and want it even more badly.

@cell9 thank you for ntr and the video streaming I hope it is continued I use the streaming once in a while but I helped out a YouTuber with his ds to save a big section of his channel. The streaming has boosted 3ds YouTube scene a lot thank you for everything

@cell9 if you really say "goodbye", I wanna say "THANKS FOR NTR"!!! Ntr was the first thing I installed on my cfw. It loyalty made me screenshots and over clocked my n3ds until luma included a feature like this. And then the streaming feature came. Mind-blow-ing awesome! It is the best feature of all.
It would be so bad when you're leaving the scene just because some fucking bullies. Damn you, flashcards!!

You made some amazing things happen with this and I hope you reconsider and decide to keep this public, it truly is sad to hear the project is closing down publicly. No matter your choices I wish you luck in your future endeavors. Thanks again for everything!

Although NTR CFW may be discontinued, however part of its features (for example, video streaming) could be migrated into a homebrew app, which does not need to downgrade and setup CFWs. It may be take for months. If you are interested in that, do not update sysnand to 11.0.

I'm already on 11.0 on updated sysNAND mode on a9lh. Would this theoretical homebrew app work with this setup since I have CFW?

Luma3DS restores svcbackdoor (may not be what it's called. Late at night so I don't remember if that it's exact name) for 11.x FIRM. So that can still be used. I don't know if any other CFWs have this feature yet. L

Also, Luma and Reinand use a custom loader system module. As a result, the semi-ASLR stuff Nintendo introduced in 10.4+ FIRMs is effectively removed when using these CFWs. This would make it easier to adjust NTR to work in said environments since memory layouts won't be randomized.

wow... it's truly a sad day when people think that fighting over whether or not something should be open source is so important, they're willing to run the project into the ground. Congratulations... Not only did you guarantee that the project will remain closed source, but you also killed the project outright. Not to mention driving one of the best devs around here away from the scene.

It's one thing to ask why the project is closed source, and if it could ever be opened up. But what's the point of nagging until someone breaks, that never works!

@cell9 I'm very sorry to hear about all this. Your software made the 3DS way better than anyone could have ever dreamed of.
