when you get your chip make sure exam closely because now asia already has conterfeit of wiikey on the market. Of course the quality is pretty bad compare to the real one, so make sure you are getting the right now.

Either I'm lucky, or they're talking about a second shipment, because I received mine around the same time they posted that message. It was shipped on the 5th/6th.

so the counterfeits dont have wiikey printed on them, or did this one's sticker just come off?

that is NOT a fake, the 102 thing is simply a different marking scheme on the resistor.. nothing more nothing less, its legit and is the same as the other "non-fake" wiikeys. was discussed elsewhere, i dont really acre to look for the posts but i dont know if it was on gbatemp or wiinewz

but it does look a little bit shady... in terms of quality LOOKS... i know nothing of the components used, so i cant say anything about them... but to me, it just looks cheaper...

Those people that have gotten their Wiikey in the US sooner than expected either ordered very early, or they are located near Texas.

Well they're saying "for sure" they are supposed to ship today. So if they get delayed again I'll be extremely pissed. If I don't get it this week I can muster up some more patience for next week... But anything after that is extremely unacceptable.

What makes me most mad is that they're aren't giving any explanations as to why the delay occured. That and we only give updates every four days or so on the status of the chip. It's aggrivating to say the least.

my wiikey has now been despatched from modchipstore, i was in the second half of the first batch, i expect it to arrive on wednesday

still no update... but i dont even expect to be in the first half of the second batch... i waited for a review, well a couple of em... so i can be mad at no one, but myself, not modchipstore, not futura, not anyone, but me for not ordering sooner. i'll wait... gives me time to acquire the iso's (slowly, been thinking about usenet to improve speed...) and get some cases ready.

I have also had problems with this guy. I have been waiting impatiently for the wiikey and decided to cancel my order on a Sunday evening and take my wii to a local guy in San Francisco to do the mod for me for 110 bucks (wiikey included). I submitted a 2 tickets to cancel the order at around 6pm PST on 3/11 and he immediately processes my order at around 8pm PST. I send him another ticket threatening him not to ship my product as it would be impossible to do so on a Sunday evening, or I would get my credit card company involved. Now my order has shipped today with an estimated arrival of friday. I ordered the wiikey on 3/3, so I am no where near the first batch. IT seems like he bumped me up to the first batch so to keep my money. I hope he doesn't screw me over and send me an empty envelope like another user had happened to him. Needless to say, this will be my last purchase from that jerk.
