Technically they've found the expoit we have been looking for anyways, but want top bucks for it.

Excatly what's on my mind, too. They're using a "firmware.bin" thing. This might turn against them and make a new exploit pop up out of nowhere.

The people that have a sky3ds blue cart could just sell it and try to get most of the money back they paid for it before the dual orange button sky 3ds comes out so they can upgrade.

The question is - who would buy an outdated, clunky card when a far better one is right around the corner?

That's not how the market works, when Apple releases a new iPhone X, the previous gen iPhone's value depreciates insanely, especially if its within the same price range. Sure you could sell your blue button, but you'd be a massive loss, $120 cart, they'd expect you to sell it for $70 or worse, $50, since it's used and has half the features the new one has.

:O I thought it was as I saw a couple of resellers selling them for a lot of $$
It's not uncommon for sellers to list their cards ahead of time. Happened to the blue button Sky, to the DSTWO+, and it's happening again with the Sky+.
I assume the cart won't come out for another month or so, so keep your eyes peeled.

Id like to know who lives close to where their main selling/manufacture point is, we could find members who can have access to it quicker and vouch for it's legitimacy, looks like China judging by their poor choice of grammar.

And the guy who made the video to demo it, judging by his nails, clearly looks like he came from his 4month slumber or from his cave recently to see the light.

Yup, 99% sure it's a chinese manufacturer making these cards. I dunno if they actually sell them in China though - when I ordered a DSTWO online it got shipped from the Netherlands surprisingly.
The Sky team should really consider giving freebies to GBATemp staff - I'm sure half of their consumer base posts in this site, and it'd really help their sales if a respectable member of the community gave a fair, unbiased review of their product.

Preach on brah. +1

Definitely would agree on it.
The rate at which people are on edge to find an exploit, a lot of copy cats have been feeding on that insecurity with a crap ton of fake websites/posts and claims. GBAtemp tends to be pretty straightforward, sure the reviewer might state it's good here and there, but the masses are savage, savage enough to state "Gateway clone" "sky clone" which can be bad for business sales. Most cart companies would like to build hype around their product enough to get a big number to order so they're not at a loss if people complain later.

Someone mentioned here earlier that people had to pay to be part of their beta test phase.

Because the new one doesn't use templates.
Templates have nothing to do with online play. Those were just for disk writer to set up you micro SD. You need a .3ds/.3dz file with a header in order to play online.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Are there any 3ds games that are over 4gb?
Donky kong is 4.01gb lol

Have you ever used a sky3ds before?
I highly doubt so. Anyway, just look at a template file. You will find private header info if you use it.

You're the one who should educate himself. Your mouth is filthy and you think you are someone important.
I would have respected you if you talked without your patronising tone. But I know what kind of person you are.
People are free to buy whatever they want. We give advice and I am not encouraging anyone to buy any cart of any sort.
Now shoo

Wow, so where exactly did I encourage anyone to buy a GW card, just link the post to me I dare you. Cant find it, yeah thats cause your full of poop? Talk about "fanboys"... Firstly they fucked people over with the "limit" on the red button, then 2 weeks later when they realized people found a way to get past that and released the magical blue button version. Fast forward almost a year, a new version comes out forcing you to spend yet another $100 on a piece of plastic. How much is that? $300 you say? Im not taking sides, I own a GW but I still use rxTools for cold booting just for the convenience.

Im far from a fanboy, I just hate when someone smears their dick like that over all the customers who bought a Sky card - even more I hate when people like you justify their actions so blindly, its like youre eating their bullshit right of their palm.

I am now sure your mouth is filthier than a toilet. I am not endorsing sky3ds and I understand that it's too much to buy many Sky cards. And yes, I can prove your shitty attitude a thousand times. filthy liar mouth.
If you had just an ounce of honesty, you'd have acknowledged that you urged people to buy Gateway many times. If you were one of Gateway team, I would totally understand that and I respect those guys, btw. Because they were the first ones to find exploits.
But you're just a filthy toilet.
