What db files? I don't think so.
Inside the Ninteno 3DS folder there will be another folder that is named a bunch of random hex characters. Inside that folder there will be another folder that looks similar. In the second folder there may or may not be a folder called "dbs." Inside the "dbs" folder there should be two files called "title.db" and "import.db." If those are there, that's not the issue. If they aren't there, you need to create them. If the "dbs" folder isn't there, you'll need to create it in Nintendo 3DS\<hex characters 1>\<hex characters 2>\ (the directory will look like Nintendo 3DS\<hex characters 1>\<hex characters 2>\dbs when you're done). Inside the "dbs" folder, create two text files; the names don't matter. Rename the text files, including their extensions, to "title.db" and "import.db" and reinsert your SD card into your 3DS. Go to System Settings > Data Management > 3DS > Software. Allow it to repair the database. After that, you're done.

Turns out I got them there. Should I still rebuild? Maybe it'll help?

If you have them, you don't need to rebuild. I just realized that you're installing the downgraded MSET. In order to install it, you actually need to uninstall the current MSET first. You'll need to change FBI's destination to NAND and mode to delete title.

Look for the MSET title id for your region:
US: 0x0004001000021000
EU: 0x0004001000022000
JP: 0x0004001000020000

Delete that title with FBI, do NOT exit FBI after deleting the title.

Switch FBI's mode to install title, and make sure the destination is still set to NAND.

Install the mset_eur.cia. After you've installed it, you can now exit FBI and restart your 3DS.

Great, it worked. However installing bluecardfix.cia brings the same error. I guess I should find cia's title and remove it from NAND too?

That should fix it. I'm not sure what the title id is for the whitelist (the title you would need to delete to install the bluecardfix) is though. An alternative is to install DevMenu and use DevMenu to install the bluecardfix. DevMenu doesn't need to uninstall the current title id to install the new one; it automatically overwrites it.

Hey, it's me again. So, my friend came to my house and we restored the emunand. We then tried again to do the whole process with SysUpdater and stuff, and it does the same problem anyway. Do you have an idea why? Maybe I got the wrong cias?

Are you using the 9.5.0-23 cias for the correct region? The only things I can think of are that either the firmware of the cias is too high, or that the region is wrong.

You'll need to find a game that has an update between 4.1 and 4.5 and use it to update. A list of games can be found here. After that, a tutorial for setting up rxTools can be found here.

Thank you, but since I dont have 4.x game yet. If I updated my 3ds v1.1.0 to a 4.1 (for example) is my browser automatically updated as well?

No, updating via cart does not update the browser. That's why you need to update to 4.X and not to a firmware between 4.1 and 9.2. On 4.X you can use the MSET exploit as an entrypoint, but if you go above that you'll be out of luck since you don't have a browser.

I did all you said and it worked. Now I can access all Gateway features. Thanks, man. You helped me a lot (that guide is terrible).

It's weird, but 3D seems different in Gateway mode (as if stabilization isn't working). At first it didn't even work, turning the slider just made picture divided in two.
Also Mario Kart asked for update, so I turned off Wi-Fi.

Glad I could help!

The 3D issue is a known bug when booting emuNAND on the N3DS. A fix is to put the N3DS into sleep mode for a second after booting into emuNAND, then take it out of sleep mode.

Okay, I'll try it when I get my hands on a 4.x cart game. This o3DS 1.1.0 is a real pain in the ass. Thank you tho. (Will probably ask here again when I have a 4.x game :D:D )

Heh, don't know what was the problem, but maybe I got some wrong cias that some idiot posted as the eur version, dunno, but I got some different ones on another site and now it worked.
Thanks again! ^_^

I'd like to ask a few more questions if you don't mind.

Can I use FBI to safely install cia's in emunand mode? Is there a way to launch HBL in from Gateway without using browserhack (I hate turning wifi on)?
Do I need to update to 9.5 in emunand? I doubt it's gonna be possible for me.

Yes, you can safely install cias in emuNAND with FBI.

Yes, you can launch the HBL in Gateway mode by installing a Cubic Ninja cia (must to be a cia version, rom version won't work for some reason) and setting up Ninjhax on it. You will need to turn your wi-fi on to set up Ninjhax the first time, but after that you won't need to anymore.

You don't need to update your emuNAND to 9.5 if none of the games you are playing require it.
