Olmectron, if you truly try to go for ROM hacking this game, I hope you can manage a true Randomizer run where every unit, allied and enemy, have random classes, weapons, and skills. I can imagine how fun that would be!

Of course! I've always thought that's the main point of ROM hacking a Fire Emblem game. Since the GBA ROM hacks, that's been so great. That'll be my main target. Everything else (sprite editing, hilarious conversations, Cordelia X Chrom Support and so on) will come later.
I hope to capable of all those things!
A small correction - I tested the global save file on a EU cartridge and it worked without a problem!

Sorry it's when I use a sentence and forget I put there when I post. I lurk here a LOT and what I meant is that you can use mirage class but ONLY if they equipped a weapon before and even then you can't initiate an attack but can counterattack it has the same model as the grima class
Huh, that's interesting. So when you opened the Avatar Logbook, you were able to see all 99 units without the game crashing? Is the EUR cartridge formatted to English, or is it in a different language? Never was sure how the EUR version worked, but I'm pretty sure languages are locked to carts (French only in France, German only in Germany, etc.).

I finally got around to trying this program and I have this same problem... and the save tool won't recognize the Gateway tool itself that is stored on the SD card, either (00040000000A0500).

I don't know either. I never used a save manager before so I don't know what exactly to use. I googled a little bit and most results said Gateway users should use savedatafiler, which is showing the --broken-- results :<

You can also install a CIA of Cubic Ninja, install Ninjhax 2.5 on the CIa, and launch the homebrew save manager from it
I don't use homebrew manager or want to load through all those hurdles just for one save. At this point it's too much effort for me.
