Are you looking for something to port to the 3DS for whatever reason and you wanna get all the bitches for porting something to the wackiest current gen handheld? Well then, you should port Super Mario Bros. X, since that'd be neat to play on the go. Here's the source code: http://nsmbxforums.prophpbb.com/topic2814.html
Go on, chop chop! We're waaaaaiting! :whip:

As a visualbasicer my self (is that a word?), I know that the reason everyone hates VB6 is that for some reason SMBX works on higher then XP which means they must have done some really fucking hacky shit there because VB6 uses legacy APIs.

I have never heard of SMBX but it looks bloody brilliant. I would absolutely love to see this on the 3DS but I realise porting from VB to a flavour of C or Lua would be a major headache :(

Ahh, looking at that thread it looks like the source isn't even really usable. It isn't the original source, it was generated by decompiling the binary. There's a mix of VB6 and ASM which means it would be even more difficult to port.

Can you explain why to me? noob alert.

it is incredibly clunky and bad and poorly optimized and unreadable usually, and it's generated by a gui usually so simple stuff can be a huge mass of code

dreamweaver's html works the same way and i made $50 one time dropping a car company's weekly email from 1.5mb of unreadable garbage to 80kb of actual real people html
