no, not a black screen, it just freezes when I load the 3ds home menu.

Are you sure its related to a theme? Did you install or deleted a cia recently?
In case its a theme, delete this folder: 000002cd ( its in ''extdata\00000000\'' )

I don't think so, because two themes did it. And what's a CIA? Someone said Ironhax didn't use those.

Nevermind about cia, didnt know you where using ironhax

Humm not sure why it freezes..have you tried with downloaded themes ore you made them yourself? Also, did you had any freeze before using custom themes? Is you sd full or do you still have plenty of space on your sd card?

The SD is getting full, but I deleted a few things to try and make more room. These are downloaded themes from the 3ds themes site.

Ok..you should backup your stuff and reformat the sd card..just an advice

theres big chances that its the cause.. your card might be getting corrupted slowly so a clean format will help.

Yah, like i said, try this first, delete this folder: 000002cd ( its in ''extdata\00000000\'' ) ..maybe you wont have to reformat and delete everything

It depends on what region is your 3DS ( https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/CHMM/blob/master/source/index.lua#L60-L72 )

Anyway, you got a freeze on startup probably cause the theme you tried to apply is too big for the 3DS extdata.

Of course, but i assumed he/she had a us console since its a us flag beside his/her name

if he she haves a different region, he will not have this folder and would then ask here wich one it is and we would then have told wich one it is for his region

As for the size of the theme causing the error, i dont think its the case since he got it from the 3ds themes site..so it probably was already tested,. but i'm not saying its 100% sure..

Is anyone else having problems with this here are my specs

Ninjhax 2.1 beta

I get a string error then it freezes.

Is it when you're trying to apply a theme? If so, does it have a bgm.bcstm? The max size of one is about 3.2 mb.

It has the bg music and its under 3.2. It works with Homemenu_ext data tool but that is a pain to use. However, the music never plays when I use ext data tool just the theme shows up and the music from the previous theme plays.

And yes it is when i try to apply the theme I click A for apply and i get a string error

Set your theme to any basic/no theme, and apply it. What's the exact error you get?
