Hello, it's been a while since i posted here!

Anyway, this has probably been asked before, but google just finds outdated information from years ago, so here goes....

i just bought a DSTWO card, and copied the OS on to a micro sd card (_dstwo in the root directory) - tried a few versions in fact - and i get this error, blue screen with "NO FIND SYSTEM FILES".

I read somewhere there are patches that are required? ...where can i find those?

Thanks very much for any assistance....

/* edit */ Here's the whole directory structure on the microsd card:

Does anyone have exact information about HOW EXACTLY the SD card must be formatted... ie. FAT32 vs. ExFAT, cluster size, etc...?

The same SD card works fine with my Acekard 2i, so i'm guessing that's not the problem.... but then again i could be completely wrong about that.

/* edit */ Ok, with NO partition on the SD card, ie. wipe the whole SD card at the hardware level:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX where X is the SD card (not a partition on the SD card) ...the error message now says:

NO FIND SD CARD

So that must mean the previous partition setup was correct (fat32, whole card, default - i think 32k - cluster size).

....so, we have 3 outcomes so far:

(1) No SD card in the DSTWO: doesn't register as a playable game. (firmware doesn't see it)

(2) SD card with no partitions in the DSTWO: Firmware sees it as a game ("ALEX RIDER STORMBREAKER THQ") but trying to run it results in error "NO FIND SD CARD"

(3a) SD card with valid EMPTY fat32 partition: Same as (2) but running the card results in error "NO FIND SYSTEM FILES"

(3b) SD card with valid fat32 partition containing _dstwo directory, ds2boot.dat file at the root, etc: Same result as (3a) - "NO FIND SYSTEM FILES".

*sigh* making progress.... sort of :/

FIXED IT!!

I just needed a more recent version of EOS. Re-downloading it worked =)

Sorry for creating a useless thread!

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament

maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
