I was modding my buddies Wii for him and he was "one of the lucky ones" where you can install the BootMii, from the letterbomb, directly not as an ios. I've done a few others but this was the first time I had this option. I did it and then started to do the rest of the mod but ran into an issue where it wasn't reading the USB drive quite right. Eventually I did a hard reset and then it went to the BootMii screen, which I had never seen before, and now I can't get the wiimote to respond or even sync...I've never been in this position and don't even know where to begin. :( Any ideas?

wiimote doesn't work in bootmii...gotta use power and reset buttons on the console. ...reset to scroll through the four options, power to select. ...or you can use a GC controller, if you have one.

the answer to the next question before you ask: bootmii will come up every time you power the wii on with that SD card in it.... to prevent it, just rename the 'bootmii' folder...

Thanks! Any idea why it isn't reading the USB drive properly? Homebrew will recognize it for any apps on it but then once you launch something like WiiXplorer it won't recognize the usb drive as valid. Really strange. :
