Well, there seems to be no set pattern.
It's just some cards work, some don't.

I went through the exact same procedure with each card in this list.

MiniAide Fat32 Formatter Home Edition 1.05 and deleted all partitions then add a single FAT32 partition
DiskWriter 1.6 and re-Formatted twice, then Formatted twice, then used Sonic's template0312.txt and wrote OoT into two positions with verify on.
Added Sonic's US Save to both positions.
Booted the 3DS with the Sky in it, "Blue Buttoned" twice then launched OoT
Opened the GATEWAY***** save and it took me to the hut.
Then.....

In the SKY3DS:

Toshiba_ 4GB_ Class 4 - Works

Kingston 4GB_ Class 4 - WSoD
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - WSoD
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - WSoD
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - WSoD
Kingston 16GB Class 10- WSoD
SanDisk_ 32GB Class 4 - WSoD

Follow-Up:

On my US N3DSXL with 9.0.0-20U with the Toshiba_ 4GB_ Class 4 in the Sky3DS

-and-

Using for Launcher.dat in the Internal with:

Kingston 4GB_ Class 4 - Works
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - Works
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - Works
SanDisk_ 16GB Class 8 - Works
Kingston 16GB Class 10- Works
SanDisk_ 32GB Class 4 - Works

At least on my N3DSXL, the Sky is what causes the WSoD problems.

Confirmed working!

Used a Kingston class4 8GB inside Sky3DS.

Transcend UHS1/class10 32GB
Transcend UHS1/class10 64GB

:D

If the Sky3DS card has a confirmed working µSD for loading the exploit inside and it still doesn't work, you have to format the µSD inside the N3DS. This solved my problem!

I just realize this: When you restore save files on an incompatible microSD, the save process bar don't fully complete but only goes half way through. With a compatible microSD the save bar runs fully to the end in completion.

Are your Transcend microsd cards on Sky3DS or N3DS System?

In case, you're talking about the memory card inside of the N3DS, yes it will load properly after formatting using system menu. Otherwise, format using system menu inside of the N3DS for using on Sky3DS won't help. Because we need to format it again using DiskWriter to write rom.

Everyone, this thread discussing about using microsd on Sky3DS to get it access to Launcher.dat NOT the microsd inside of the N3DS.

You didn't understand what I wrote. My problem was that despite using a confirmed working µSD inside Sky3DS the exploit still crashed with a white screen. That was because the launcher.dat didn't like the fat32 filesystem for whatever reason. I reformatted it and the exploit worked with the 1st try. Of course the 64GB is inside the N3DS.

So that means that you have to be very careful which µSD you pick for Sky3DS AND you should make sure to format the µSD of the N3DS again to get it working!

can also confirm Kingston 32GB mSD Class 10 HC-1 Works inside the N3DS to boot the exploit (the fast one with 90Mb/s reading speed)

In my Sky I was able to use both the stock Toshiba 4GB that came with the N3DS and the Sandisk 32GB mSD HC 1 45Mbit/s

Actually so far every combination Ive tried with these cards worked so I highly recommended getting either or both

I have a sandisk Ultra 64GB microsdXC. I have been using it for sometime. just recently received my N3DSJP with SKY3DS and used it. it worked fine the 1st couple of hours with cubic ninja and the exploit. for some reason it has been a hit or miss with pressing the button. Flashing for long periods of time or nothing shows up. seems like it isn't making any contact, but then holding for long periods it switches. any suggestions as to if the card is just picky? I have tested the card for failures and it works great as a boot drive and other uses,. now the 3ds is the prior focus.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Now the card started working and loading games. Could it be a contact issue or some freak mess? I have to keep playing with it to get it to work.
This the card http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-with-adapter/

an amazon link if need be http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-MicroSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B007WTAJTO
