Unfortunatly no eshop transfer tool :/ so no way to load back the mh4g rom into gateway, I guess we really need a way to convert the saves manually, or somehow force gateway to load mh4g rom as soon as it is inserted back into the 3ds or, load the rom without having to exit the current mh4g transfer task...
I'm attempting to use my gfs 3ds to get the save transfer tool to transfer my legitimate save to the gateway system. Putting her digital copy onto the 3ds also. Will reply with results.
edit: still doesn't work. I guess we wait for Gateway news.
Thats what I've come to conclude. Just started a new game 5 minutes ago lol. I really don't want to start over but don't wanna miss out on the fun either. Got a Facebook group of over 400 people so I'm not worried about help with raising HR
Not sure if I understood correctly, what u tried was, launch mh4g rom with gateway and tried to convert the save from a legit digital mh4 into mh4g rom on gateway?
If it was something along those lines maybe it will work by converting mh4g to card2

Ok, so now I tried to put just the mh4 rom as raw in the microsd. The good thing is that gateway can still load it in raw format, bad thing is that even tho it's the only game in the microsd we still have to press on select button for the game to load instead of loading it automatically If the raw game loaded automatically then we just might be able to convert mh4 data into mh4g.
I guess it's time to email gateway so they make single raw games in microsd card load without needing to press on select.

Huh, didn't Gateway load only 1 game on a single card before Multi-ROM was released? Have you tried writing MH4 to a single card, open data convert, take out Gateway, take out SD card with MH4G, put in SD card with MH4, put Gateway back then trying to read the data?
yep, but since the rom doesn't load automatically it doesn't work. The data convert tool never has the chance to read the mh4 data.
I hope the mh4 data can be converted to mh4u o.o
while your there it would be better if the save data was loaded up when the game is loaded up too, as right now it would only work for card2 converted games even if they do allow loading up games mid game or set the old raw auto load back up so you can switch games on the fly.....the save data would also need to be loaded

ok just be aware the writable region i showed in the hex editor screenshot would only apply to 2GB roms(like MH3, MH4G is 4GB, so you would need to calculate the offset yourself........also there is no way to covert the save from .sav to card 2 inject-able formatye

I'm not sure what I did, but after my Gateway loaded I clicked on a wrapped item on screen, now I can't load my Gateway. Did I accidently update my emunand?
oh ok, I didn't go check, I thought the pokemon save tool you mentioned was to extract the save from card2 roms into a .sav compatible format and vice-versa. I guess It's all up to gw team really then huh... :/

Yep, fingers crossed they dont release an update.
I assume its just like MH4 where you need an SD card bigger than 4GB or it wont run. Like that same thing with Smash.
