Hello,

I can't decide which LCD monitor I should get :/
Samsung 940BW or LG L194WT?
I heard 940BW have poor contrast, but L194WT have washed-out colors...
I can't find any reviews about them

The link to the HannsG monitor I posted wipes the floor with the Samsung, have a look around for reviews on the HW-191DP which is the silver variant of what I have,...it beats the samsung on everything, except it is 5ms.

If the LG has a 2000 contrast ratio, that sounds crazy!

I not sure LG's contrast ratio is 1:700? the Model i looking at L194WT-SF has a high Contrast Ratio : 2000 : 1 then Samsung 940BW

So you have seen the Hanns.G HW-191DP and Samsung 940BW too?
Could you make a picture from your monitor?

It doesn't matter for me, because I'll use it with DVI (so no v/h adjustmens needed)..

I know Samsung 940BW have very nice clear sharp colour
the LG L194WT-SF LG have a "Flatron f-ENGINE" which is pretty new today technology - I not sure about?..

fengine_process_2.jpg

Flatron f-ENGINE

* Exclusive LG LCD technology that makes colors jump off the screen.
* F-Engine is a chip built into your 80 series Monitor that constantly makes adjustments to the image your viewing. Whether it be photos, videos or gaming f-Engine enhances the viewing experience
* Press the f-Engine button and watch LG's unique split screen to show you before f-Engine and after f-Engine.

What the f...?!? No computer screen should be as dark as that "original" on default. Some real pictures need to be shown, otherwise it just sounds like some gimmick.

Also, you should look at the dot pitch of any screen you buy. Unfortunately, thats the only advice I have.
