Hacking RetroGameFan Updates/Releases

Hello.
I have r4i gold xl (r4i-net.com) card, and no one firmware looks like mine, and site (r4i-net.com) is down. Can i use your firmeware, and if i can, what i need to do to install it? Thank you =)
I upgrade it - used R4iSDXC firmwire (copy 4 .dat file from R4Menu) and it works.

Possible bug:
1. 5585 Pokemon Black USA
2. TWL-IRBO-INT - E2BEE619
3. It hangs during saving, but:
- I have Class 10 16GB Sandisk Card and im using latest dats and files from OP,
- using dual boot with R4i SDHC (V1.74b),
- it's working without problem on stock firmware

Anyone experienced similar circumstances?

I have an R4i SDHC flashcart and I followed the instructions posted -
1. Formatted my SD card with the Panasonic SD Formatter 3.1
2. Downloaded and extracted latest R4i SDHC firmware from the www.r4i-sdhc.com site to my fresh micro sd.
3. Downloaded and copied the contents of "R4i-SDHC YSMenu" folder in the "RetroGameFan Multi Cart Update v6.99" to the sd card.
4. Downloaded and copied the updated DATs from the "DAT" folder inside "RetroGameFan DAT Update v6.99 6244" to the "TTMenu" folder in the sd card.

Booted up my NDS and ran YSMenu.nds and then i started Pokemon Black (clean version). Its showing "Booting... Creating TTMENU.sys" and has been there for quite some time. Is the system frozen? Or does it really take long (its been going on for an hour now)? Have I done something wrong?

Hey guys, i have a prob with my r4sdhd.

So my card is R4 upgrade revolution for DS from r41-sdhc.com WiFi compatible. I'm using the newest kernel, V1.74b. Although i tried older ones. Games do't load on this kernel (loaderr=-1 or sav not found), it doesnt change after formatting a sd card (4gm microsd).

So i tried ysmenu a year ago, and it somehow worked. Yesterday as i wanted to update it, i downloaded a new kernel and TTMenu/YSMenu v6.99. No nds files are seen, only ysmenu.nds while on ysmenu.

Any ideas why?

Oh, and ysmenu is messed with newest kernel too, no skin, some errors, but its possible to use it. I tried older kernel - it was ok.

Also, i keep one game in folder Games in root folder, but i can't see this folder at all while in ysmenu too. Other game is kept in another folder with some other files, including that games sav file, but this folder and it's content with sav file can be seen.

I had the same issue with one of my SD cards. Try using other SD card, it solved the issue for me.

Hello, I've been trying to play Pokemon Volt White on my R4i SDHC 3ds with YSmenu but it doesn't seem to work

When i try to save it freezes. I've tryed many fixes and stuff Reformatting etc but nothing works! Can someone help me please?

Hi!!

Got a R4SDHC and followed your instructions. The Kernel is working like a charm. Really nice but YSMenue will not load. At first boot it asked for generating a SAV for Deafault.nds, tried both then: generate or ignore. After this the Screen stays White and System hangs. Any ideas for Fixing this. For playing I deleted Default.nds now. This works so far for the Moment. But how can I get YSMenue running?!

Here my steps:
1. Formatted Cart
2. Copyed Files from the Multicard Archive to SD
3. Startet this one in my DS

Download the kernel for your card from the website that they still provide (dual core original, "new" or "2013" version). Then simply download RGFs dats and use the 3 dats in the DAT2 folder and copy them to "__rpg" folder overwriting the original dats.

I have a R4 SDHC dual core 2013, I just bought it, so I know I need to update it on Ds (Can I use a normal Ds or do I need a Ds lite?) before putting it on my 3DS, my question is, can I run the firmware update using this kernel? or do I have to use the original kernel to apply the firmware update? Thanks!.

I'm new at this....so here it goes.
I just bought a NDSi with an old m3i zero card (NOT the gmp-z003 version).
The dsi is updated to the 1.4.5 firmware.

What do I have to do to make these 2 work together? will retrogamefan's files do the trick? I understand that official support from m3adapter has stopped????
I tried to understand how this all works but I stil need some help. In the main page of this thread there isn't anything about the cable that came with the m3i zero. is this not needed anymore??

I've made an account here just to say thanks a lot to everyone who has made this possible! I've been trying to make Kingdom Hearts- Recoded work on my nds lite for a while now. I had a problem with the game freezing upon going to start menu in the game.

I can confirm this works perfectly on R4i-sdhc with the latest kernel update.
