I may end up with egg firmly on my face for saying this (as there will probably be an update as soon as I post this) but why has there been no updates for Supercard users which will allow games such as Lego Star Wars 2 and Harvest Moon to work? Especially when other flash cards have already received patches.

I know it's only been a few days since the Lego Star Wars 2 fiasco arose but how is that other flash card manufacturers can get their act together and make sure their users receive new files in a quick time frame but Supercard can't.

I may seem impatient but it wouldn't be so bad if other non-Supercard owners had to wait as well (at the moment it just seems like a Supercard problem). M3, EZ4 and G6 users are enjoying these games when I and other Supercard users aren't, simply because we are waiting for an update to arrive. The Supercard website doesn't even hint at when an update may be coming out. I am sure there are other Supercard users feel the same as I do. The main worry is if these games can't be fixed on Supercard then it may become redundant with regards to future releases.

As a SuperCard user myself I agree with you....BUT.....that is the price we pay for using ROMS. If the worst thing is having to wait for a patch rather than paying good money for games that suck (because quite a few were let downs), it's not too bad. Hang in there Chief! Keep the faith!

A long wait??? Damn, you guys are impatient. Maybe its taking longer to figure out whats the problem. In either case, if you wanna play them so badly, just buy them. Don't go bothering the SC team. They'll get it to work eventually.

But that's not the point I was trying to make. It's the fact that no one from Supercard has disclosed whether a fix is coming or not. I'll gladly buy these games after I try them to determine whether they are worth owning. The point I was trying to make is how other flash card teams have released updates but Supercard hasn't or hasn't even stated they are working on a fix.

geez this is the price we pay for flashkits being more popular, newbie’s come into the scene expecting every game to work and every update to come out ASAP. why do we have to deal with the negative energy from all these people, let him send the damn email to them as long as you people stop creating "Why isn’t this game working" and "patch not out yet" topics. God learn to be patient and if you are gunna complain do it to the people that can but wont do something about it. Ever since the new series of flashkits every second topic is a hardware complaint, software complaint, 'my cart is the best topic', 'why wont my cart work topic', 'what cart should i buy topic', 'newest game STILL not working topic', 'M3 or G6 topic', 'homebrew on ez4 wont work topic' and the list goes on.

This is obviously the price GBAtemp pays for now having over 40,000 member.
I know this has been adressed before but it just keeps getting worse.

the good thing is when there is real news out, BUT now people are complaining about this too,

I have to ask, why was this posted? There is no new content about this project than the last post about it? I would understand if they actaully had pictures or real product or some other real news. We already knew they were comming out soon, I am just tring to understand why it deamed a news topic? Sorry not trying to step on anyones toes, but it get anoying when sites post things like this, when you are expecting this section to contain truelly new topics and items.

i just can't understand why people are complaining about the newest games not working unless you have finsihed every other game previoulsy released and working on your DS then complain all you want, but i doubt than is one person out there that has finished every game. There are plently of other games to play. But now people are getting the shits because one cart company fixes roms quicker than an other. If you peolpe do your own research before you buy these products you will understand that patches dont come out the instant a rom is released and you will also be aware of what cart suit your needs more...so stop asking US when things will get done, cause we dont run the companies, we are just like you but aparantly more patient.

But it's not been like this in the past. A while a go if a popular rom didn't work a pre-patched one would come at least the next day in interim of waiting for a software update. This practise has seemed to dissapear.

As a long time SC user I would say the delay is slighly odd.

yes, the Lego Star Wars 2 fiasco has been a huge blow to all us Supercard users.

Seriously, though, I think Supercard is overdue for an update too. There's been several good games in the last 5 weeks or so that are currently requiring special settings and I'm hoping they get those sorted out too.

I can understand both sides. I mean I also think it's strange (because of the flashcart competition) ther's no fix yet. It's not specifically about this or another game. It's more about how hard these manufacturers are fighting for their product.

On the other hand Supercard has had great support in the past and often got things working faster than others. It's a mighty fine cart for it's price.

I am not by any means saying things MUST get fixed. I feel bloody lucky I can play all the games that have been out. And if from now on no future game would ever work anymore it would be a bummer but I am very satisfied with what I can play right now. That is to say I only managed to play through a quarter of the games. So I am definetely not whining.

Thanks Supercard for all you have given us until now.

if you are referring to the WRG patches, im pretty sure there were only a few of them, and bascailly they were used for the last series of flashcarts. The ones that were still based on the GBA roms cart framework. I can understand why that release group doesnt bother anymore because the update come out so frequently NOW that it would be a waste of there time. Plus wasnt there very FEW of the pre-patched roms, from what i can remember there was Tetris one and a NSMB one. It's not they they came out frequently.

It said to be patient because if everyone were to make a complaint about their carts there would be 40.000 new posts when a new game comes out. Which im not doubting will happen soon when we get more members.
Here is a suggestion when a new game doesnt work, go check out [using the search function (not directed at meangreenie)] some of the 'top10 nds game' posts and find a game that works that you havent played. Like i said, i doubt everyone has played every game, im sure there is some great games out there that some newbies wont even know about.

[EDIT] BTW im not meaning to De-rail this thread but i dont wish to create a new thread about this, im just re-iterating issues already discussed which have gone un-noticed by the looks of it.

I'm happy to wait for the patch to fix lego star wars 2 and harvest moon. The supercard team always come up with the goods. If you want to play these games so badly you should go out and buy the original.

I think everyone needs to relax a bit, its not like u guys are working for the supercard team or need to do anything to fix the supercard problem. If the guy wants to talk about an issue he has with a product he paid for whats the problem? All hes asking for is better support or at least a message on the supercard site for an estimated patch release. Doesnt nessacessarily have to be a noob either to say a patch release is been deleayed for to long. Thats just my 2 cents clink clink
