hey all!
been working on a theme.
based on the Android os.
actually, most of the images are pulled directly from the Android framework!
only 4 flows per mode.
hopefully there are no issues with the flags I've taken from carbonik.
if it is an issue, I'll remove them :-D

hum, theme like good but it still lacks a lot of work.
effects, alignment, graphics... mastery of the ini...
everything comes from default, its not a theme, its a skin.

So, I would prefer that you do not use the carbonik flags...

well then!
thanks for the " constructive" criticism!
I'll take them out and edit all my posts...

I did not ask you that. I give you my opinion on your theme.
if you want help, I am.
but in the present case, there is still work

the beauty of themes are their complexities. say I'm not constructive in my words would accept many drafts.
Finally a new theme, good masterjakeway. makes it personal, it will be even more beautiful

Well I locked myself out of my house like a dumbass in a rush to leave. waiting on a friend that has a spare key wont be here till 10.. FML. Anyways I still plan to test things when I get in my house :P lol

I just thought about it though scummvm won't work with Cover-2-Rom 2.0 though unless Soupaman66 u make your app able to parse the scummvm.ini file. It's the only cover set that works this way, but I got nothing else left to test your app with for now. I'll guess I'll just grab an old set and work it out with that.

not sure how the scummvm file works. why does it need parsing?

If anyone is interested, I've compiled the latest Wiiflow-mod SVN version with tweaks to make it compile with the latest devkitppc+libogc (instead of the old one on the wiiflow-mod site).

See my post in the neek2o thread for more info, but please post any wiiflow-related replies here or via PM or whatever so that the neek2o thread stays on topic.

What benefit will this add?

It was easier for me to make 2-3 one-line changes to add libogc 1.8.11.1 compatibility than to set up a parallel development environment just to be able to compile a single project.

If you actually care about the differences, then go look at the libogc changelog on Sourceforge to see what has been added in the last two major versions or so since the wiiflow devs stopped bothering to update wiiflow's libogc support.

Otherwise, I don't care if you care or not. I'm not selling a product here; I was just offering to do the community a favor by sharing an updated binary that contains a couple months of changes that have been added to wiiflow-mod since the last time anyone else released a binary (as far as I could tell).

Also, talking about an "endless cycle of bugs/bugfixes" is melodramatic, considering that libogc 1.8.11.1 was released 15 months ago.

Hey guys I got a new test dol for nand switching/folder explorer

http://www.mediafire.com/?81l64d603fd8ec5

changes:
  • the ENTRY buttons should now be behind the text
  • if no ENTRY then the btns aren't shown so you don't get the rumble feature for invisible btns
  • changed everything to EXPLORER - no more FEXPLORER (see below)
  • rewrote the code to combine it with explorer code to make it more compact and 100 lines less
  • Fixed the ... that showed when using a USER label
  • made NEXT and PREV btns for explorer instead of using the main coverflows and shrunk them down a little
  • fixed the problem with entry 7/8 not showing
  • changed dir = to path =
EXPLORER/BG
EXPLORER/SELECTED_FOLDER
EXPLORER/SAVE_BTN
EXPLORER/CANCEL_BTN
EXPLORER/NEXT_BTN
EXPLORER/PREV_BTN
EXPLORER/USER#
EXPLORER/ENTRY_#
EXPLORER/ENTRY_#_BTN

your input is appreciated.

it seams a good update. I do not understand why you create FEXPLORER while EXPLORER exist.
Separate NEXT and PREV BTN is so good.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see what you can do. Request to submit tests, listen to testers ...

Finally, I did well to shout.
I do not think you can test your dol tonight, but I hope that others will

So "merci fledge68" I hope you understand my criticisms in the right direction. Wiiflow is ours, we must make it better

I reserve an "good job" after test

T'sup HunterZ, I think the reason Abz is asking what the benefits are is because long ago when libogc 1.8.11.1 was released, fix94 had updated the lib and compiled WiiFlow with it for a couple of revs but then reverted the change. I believe it musta been buggy with WiiFlow so he reverted it, it might be a good idea as to inquire why.

Thanks for the clarification. If someone could tell me what those issues were and how to reproduce them (if it's possible to do so on a 4.3U Wii), I would definitely be willing to test my build to see if they still occur.

Also, I found Wintermute to be pretty friendly and helpful when I contacted him with questions a while back; it's likely that he would be willing to help resolve any issues on libogc's end (if any), assuming he's still at all active in the Wii development community.

sorry guys but got some feedback from Abz so I made a few more changes. here's the new test boot.dol

http://www.mediafire.com/?81l64d603fd8ec5

changes:

*the ENTRY buttons should now be behind the text
*if no ENTRY then the btns aren't shown so you don't get the rumble feature for invisible btns
*changed everything to EXPLORER - no more FEXPLORER (see below)
*rewrote the code to combine it with explorer code to make it more compact and 100 lines less
*Fixed the ... that showed when using a USER label
*made NEXT and PREV btns for explorer instead of using the main coverflow's and shrunk them down a little
*fixed the problem with entry 7/8 not showing
*changed dir = to path =
*moved SAVE and CANCEL btns down to lower right corner
*USER 1and 2 are for file explorer
*USER 3 and 4 for folder explorer
*ENTRY_0 is the "..." for file explorer
*ENTRY_8 is the "..." for folder explorer

ENTRY_0 or 8 can now have their own font size or you can hide the text label off screen and use an image such as an up one or back arrow.

EXPLORER/BG
EXPLORER/SELECTED_FOLDER
EXPLORER/SAVE_BTN
EXPLORER/CANCEL_BTN
EXPLORER/NEXT_BTN
EXPLORER/PREV_BTN
EXPLORER/USER#
EXPLORER/ENTRY_#
EXPLORER/ENTRY_#_BTN

HunterZ Looking on the wiiflow-mod SVN r256 was when the latest libogc git was added
Code:
-updated wiiflow code for new libogc git

Here's some small hints as to what might have been going on:
Code:
r316 Log message

-fixed broken return to system menu (thanks libogc for such
a huge failcommand)

r470 Log message

-should have fixed all video problems now, using custom video
files based on libogc svn r4902 instead of the current libogc
ones, using the best of both :P

r474 Log message

-lets use libogc svn r4902 again, sure the new libogc got some
nice additions but its just too unstable for wiiflow

Again it would probably be best to ask FIX94 directly what the main issues were, you guys can speak code, not I lol

I'm on Ubuntu linux (lib GTK+ 2.2)

okay. Today I've been trying to get ubuntu on virtualbox to test the application. I see where the issue is so I managed to fix that. Now I'm going to make sure this also works for mac os. What I've been doing is making the interface look like an application for it's os. I was doing it on windows so some buttons or other things would be a different size. this is what it should look like.

once I fix this for mac, Ill upload 2.1
