Hacking 3DS Hack: "We hacked it"

It seems so. What I've noticed from constantly refreshing that page is that there are very few donations, but they are usually large. The people who'd donate small amounts might not think their values are worth making some new account for.

I've read somewhere that their PayPal account has been frozen.

Hence why they should use some sort of web merchant account as a way to obtain paypal funds - and offer maybe a pdf with a thank you note or something...

Stop guessing the Gametitle...

There's are a lot of Stuff which get fixed before you Guys would ever seen a release of a Hack (remembering an Kernel-Exploit on the PSP or the Guy who leaked the ECFW for the PS Vita...)

It's good that there's a thread who answering simple questions like ''Do we get it this year ?" but if it leads to leaking "Insider Informations" which is never good....im active in the PSP/PS Vita and IOS Szene and know what should be talked in public and what not.

Be just patient and wait till the devs get further access to the device and even find a way which makes the exploit unpachable "maybe".

Just my two cents...

Well, it was close, you could still block mandatory system updates and disc-based updates with Priiloader. It's even better if you turned off WiiConnect24. They can't force-update the console can they?

The 3DS is a completly different System...

The iPhone 4 is unpachable because they' ve found an Exploit in the Bootrom-Code which isn't pachable through FW-Updates => Whats about iPhone 4S or 5 ? Just as an example...

Exactly, it would be convenient if we could lock down the 3DS as much as the Wii, however, people really need to consider what they are about to say.

Actually it would probably be better if it stayed Unreleased for a while because that way we Get some Excellent Games on 3DS Instead of some Half Done Crap Shitty Games

Well, im gonna be honest with you. By the time there is a userend program for the exploit, I have a suspicion we might not even be using this exact exploit. I really hope that using this exploit will allow the guys to find a deeper and much more viable exploit(s) that nintendo can't just search and "patch". I would be concerned if the community relied on this exploit alone or at all.

Well so far this is probably a really complex exploit seeing as it probably cost them some kind of money past just buying the exploitable game and obviously the 3ds

As far as I know they won't allow loading warez from the scratch...but with Kernel-Access you could probably disable the security checks and load stuff from the SD-Card.

I would say that it stay unreleased untill it was unpachable by FW-Updates or at least Nintendo patches the exploit in newer FW's.

Piracy alone won't lead to 'Shitty half assed programmed Games'' since the 3DS is a well sold console unlike the PSP in her days. That's why the PSP never seen a lot of good Games at least.

.... It may be complex, but this save exploit is not hard to patch AT ALL according to yellow8. I believe him, since the 3DS and its games can be patched individually.

Yes but to apply "The Hax" Once its released to us may be Complex

And I do realize how easy it is to Patch a 3DS Game now (Although (I dont know why Nintendo decided with mario kart 7 "Oh it won't do any harm if we just fix the glitch in Online Multiplayer" Because thats a stupid idea they should patch the whole game not just one part)

The DS Was Easy to Hack Probably for 1 Main reason: It couldn't ever be patched once the exploit was released
Reason being: The DS Was not Internet Enabled to do System Updates
Although They could have Patched the DS With the DS Lite seeing as it Used Very Slightly Modified Firmware if I remember correctly

Any Device that is Internet Enabled to allow System Updates could be very hard to exploit unless like the iPhone 4
