Hello,

I am having trouble saving on my NESDS. I am using an R4 3DS card with the latest firmware. I am using Moonshell 2.10 and the latest NESDS as well. I am loading the NESDS through Moonshell. When I load the moonshell, I get an error was detecting while accessing the file or disk. It does get past that though and moonshell does load. Any game I try to play loads correctly. However, when I try to Save SRAM or Save State, I get a crash and abort error message.

I have tried to format the card and tried different moonshell and NESDS versions. I have an auto DLDI patching card and tried to patch the NESDS.NES file. It appears that there may be some sort of writing issues to the card, but I can't figure a way around it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm having a little problem with NesDS. Whenever I try loading up a different ROM it freezes up.

I'm using a Supercard DSTWO.

Quick update: I downgraded my firmware and it seems to be working properly now.

i haven't touched my scds2 for awhile but what i recall is that it had issues from day 1 with launching homebrew. some files work when launched as a shortcut, others had to be launched directly from the menu. try both ways, see if one works.

Just thanks huiminghao for upgrading project, so I can use svn+ssh auth from now on...

Using sf.net account password for auth is very bad idea (google code allowes to use alternative password though)

I just added the nfs play for nesds, works bad, but still worth a try....
I test the batman prototype, only the first song works.
The code was translated from virtuanes' c code to asm code, there must be some errors on that....
I want to say, it is really hard to debug such a program....

check out the svn, build and try it.

I would like to try it out, but I'm a noob when it comes to build the code to a NDS file... someone can help building the new version and upload it to filetrip if possible??? Thanks in advance :).

Seems everything goes well with the nsf combination.
New version is released on sf.net~
https://sourceforge.net/projects/nesds/files/latest/download
Enjoy it~

log:
1.3a:
alpha blend fixed. touch the current menu item to hide menu.
cheat list bug fixed. fix the flicking of cheat list.
all saving flushed.
Sound update, the volume = sin(original * pi / 2) ^ 0.7, like a linear to log conversion.
Load and save slot number merged to one.
nsf play supported, use to select song, use to play/stop, use 'debug' menu to see the details.

This emulator rocks. The only homebrew I still use.

But what does "all saving flushed" mean? Does it mean that previous save states will not work with this new version?
Thanks a lot, brosef.

I'm still getting double image near bottom of the screen for nesDS(v0.53b) please fix it, if it matters I'm running it on a DSTWO w/ latest firmware/EOS and on a 3DS w/ latest updates. Here are some pics of it(ignore time stamp never bothered to set date up):

Edit: Updated to latest version of nesDS(v0.54a) and the problem still is there, but if you close the 3/DS and open it back up the problem goes away. Still would be better if it wasn't there to begin with.

I have that same Problem on my 3DS, i have 2 Flashcarts, one have wood and the other is a generic R4iGold.cc with original kernel, both have the same problem

Anybody knows how to fix that? only happens on the svn version of NesDS, on the "original" NesDS does not happen

Still happens on the latest NesDS 1.3a

Thanks in advance

I got a Guru meditation error trying to play Akumajou Densetsu.nsf, Castlevania3.nsf and Contra.nsf. Also, the special sound chanel of the Famicom disk system does not play on .nsf files, only in game mode (.fds roms)

Hi. I've tried out NESDS a loooong time ago, with my M3 Perfect, and it worked really nice besides the fact that the NES folder was littered with corrupt files. Other than that, I can just ignore those files and it'll work fine, but these recent versions don't work on my M3 at all.
I DLDI patched it, and it keeps saying "Device failed".
Why is this?

In this version in some games the music sounds a bit weird, for example in akumaju densetsu or in the music title of adventure island, in the previous version sounds fine, or is only me?

Pd. Sorry bad English

fds sound is not enabled in nsf mode. I would fix that later.
the Guru thing may be due to the bugs of nfs play code.

Just logged-on to say, thanks so much for .nsf support.
You rock!
Thanks for all your hard-work.

I dont have a card except r4sdhc, you may turn to someone else.
'folder was littered with corrupt files'????

I changed the sound effect, due to the 'logtable' thing. And it sounds different than before. Maybe you can tell me the the revision numbers of both versions.

Is there anyway for the debug menu to instantly come up when a .nsf is loaded, Instead of navigating to it manually?

Also, I've noticed the emulator runs nice and smooth now with most games.

Although... I don't know if it's just my .nsf files, (which I originally downloaded from Zophar's Domain) but the when I use the NSF Player, the music plays really slow unlike if I was actually playing the game.

'folder was littered with corrupt files'????

I believe this was when loopy or someone was still the one managing NESDS? It worked then, and it generated files with garbled names that I couldn't delete from my SD card without formatting.

I recently tried the new version out of curiosity and it says "Device failed". I've read on other topics that this happened to other M3 slot-2 users, just wonder why it doesn't work anymore.
