I would keep a Wii because of the large library and the ability to emulate a whole bunch of past systems.

If I had to pick a handheld, it would be the 3DS because it has a couple great games, the entire DS backlog and I can emulate old games with a flashcart.

The PSP would also be tempting because of the large library and ability to emulate old games.

And if I somehow couldn't pick any of the above, I would get a launch PS3 (backward compatible one) so I can play PS2 games and PS3 games.

If you could no longer buy games but downloading them would still be possible then I'd probably keep my Wii because there's such a huge library available. If not. I'd probably either keep my Wii or PS2.

Emulation is not really to be considered here unless it's native to the machine (such as buying older titles on the eShop/PSX titles on the PSN Store).

This goes for everyone, I think that's what Bortz was trying to say.

Also I dunno if you'd want to count backwards compatibility, it seems really silly in that case to list the DS since a 3DS can just do that anyway plus it has the 3DS library and more features.

3. That said, any sort of modding or flash cards you have are acceptable. So it would likely be a better bet to keep a DS even if you only want to play NES or GB games because you can emulate them with a flash cart. The internet is still available and because the industry has crashed, piracy is running rampant. You can still download your favorite roms and isos to stockpile for later.

Oh my Wii of course. I have a pretty good amount of awesome titles for it, plus my GameCube library that can be played on it.

Not to mention since my Wii is modded gots all dem Emulators and such so I'm pretty much good.

If I had to choose something other than the Wii, most likely my Dreamcast. I love the system, so many homebrew games, plus Shenmue to keep me busy.

What happens if there's no more glue left in the world, the same time the industry crashes? o:

I think you should of done a more realistic situation where Wii U/3DS or just Wii U, PS/Vita or just PS and the X-Box/Windows Phone(since it sells so badly) or just X-Box were losing so much money that two of them had to drop out of the race or at least one and you had to choose.

Other - Because you're an idiot for saying PC does not count as a gaming 'device' in this way, considering most games come out on PC, in releases/day or year PC beats all the other three combined.
