Gbatemp.net - Gamecube USB Loader? Is it Possible?
wii.ds-scene.net - GC Usb Iso Loader

This is not possible due to the lack of usb ports on the Nintendo Gamecube

OK thanks but add compability for gc games into a cios its possible or not ?

Because with Cios you have control of usb port

QUOTE
First, it disables all non-gamecube hardware, such as USB support and bluetooth.
then it slows down the CPU to 485MHz, just like the gamecube.
Boot2 then notices the slowed CPU, and starts up in gamecube mode.
So the wii is not emulating a gamecube, it becomes a gamecube.
That will mean we would need to make a Gamecube emulater, because when the wii is in Gamecube mode, the wii becomes an actual gamecube
I'm not sure if anyone will create a gamecube emulater for the wii due to the work it will take...

Just use an sdgecko or a wode, im not sure how good the compatibility is (im SURE wode beats gecko) but they are the only actual options as the gamecube did not have usb ports... if there isnt a GC usb loader yet there will never be one, ESPECIALLY not one with a decent coverflow, now that the Wii U is on the way

For a GC usb loader on the wii, we'll need to find a way to fool the wii, so it would not deactivate the usb portsQUOTEWhat we need to do is create a custom MIOS that allows USB support.
It may be possible if people tried, But it's not very likely

That the big dream I want

I don't think he wants to modify his wii, because the thread is asking for a homebrew. So Wode is out.

Well an emulater can be made, but performance would be lost...

Yes, I know you want to run GC games on you wii and make it available to others, but if you don't find a solution, and you really want to play GC games, you can get the Dolphin emulator for PC... And also you can pick up a Gamecube controller to usb online and use the gc controller on the computer. Pretty useful... (I use my ps2 controllers on my pc and ps3 this way) - But this is not a solution, just a work around

Got any newer laptops? MANY laptops nowadays have great support for these kinds of things (Picked up a $400-$500 acer which plays GTA IV with 2 second lag (That game needs really good spec) and plays black ops like a charm... Emulates Great too).... Whats your specs?

It isnt the best or cleanest solution, but wiis that have older drives allow you to play gamecube back ups. you can test if your wii can do this by running neo gamma without either without a disc in or with a retail disc in i forget which, but it will give you an error message if your wii is unable to read back up gc games

Yea, when did you get your wii? Try running neogamma with a BACKUP disk. If you don't have any wii backups, get mplayer, and try to run a dvd movie. If it plays, then you can just run your GC games off off disks.

Are you sure Dolphin won't run on your machine? It doesn't ask for too much..
Dolphin - System Requirements
Check the Dolphin Settings. I Had to mess with mine a bit for better performance...

Doesn't anyone ever bother to google search anymore >.>
Anyways, if anything should be looked into, its a GC SD Loader.
"ppl are asking if a front-sd-ldr for GC games is possible,it is,works well too.NMM is actually based on it,just has all the dvd code removed"

2 core 2.21 GHZ doesnt work
Mines 2 Core 2.8 GHZ, 3 Gb of ram with an Nvidia Geforce 6200 AGP graphics card (only supports DX 9.c)... well I guess you will need to upgrade your computer soon or buy a new one... So how old is your wii? Can it play DVD -R movies/backups? if so, then you can just run GC games off of disks.

Yes, SD booting is something to look into, but it's not what he is looking for. Again, its a work around. This is exactly why its not likely to be made - because people get lazy and find workarounds that does the job a different way.

Oh ok. So now all I have to suggest to you is to upgrade the computer and emulate it, or better, do what @crwys Suggested and run it off of an SD card.

Leaving existing discussion apart,
Do you think the development you requested worth just $50? That's possibly the amount the one would get for his 2-3 hour labour, especially for the one that's suited to this work.

Considering it possible, did you think how much man/days needed for this task?

Say it takes 20 days then the cost of this app becomes at least $4000... $50 versus $4000...

For such tasks developers need self motivation above all... not tiny amount of cash.

ps: Just noticed you wrote "great deal" in the subject, it's funny
