I seem to hang the moment I click new game on Pokemon B/W

Patch or no Patched.

And I hang the moment the darkness lifts and I can see Professor Juniper with a Pokeball.

Please help!

If reformatting your SD card the way A Gay Little Catboy suggested doesn't work, try re-obtaining a fresh copy of the ROM, preferably from another source. There is no reason for Pokémon B/W not to work with AKAIO 1.8.7.

I know you said you've tried both, but you don't want to use a patched Pokémon B/W ROM with AKAIO 1.8.7. There is no need, and the only thing that can come of it is compatibility issues.

I use AKAIO 1.8.7 and I have no problem starting a new game on pokemon black or white. Not sure if I am up to the part you mentioned about professor juniper.

I tried nearly everything you guys said.

No avail. I downloaded the European and US version.

Fresh copies without any tampering.

Still doesn't bloody work.

Every other game works just bloody fine.

Try re-downloading AKAIO 1.8.7. You might also try doing a full format of your SD card using your operating system's formatting software, just as a matter of troubleshooting. Also try disabling AAP.

I downloaded from acekard.com and akaio.net

Both seem to crash the moment I click new game and when the fog lifts up the game just hangs

If you've formatted your card using the specified software and settings, reinstalled AKAIO, tried different settings in AKAIO, and tried different sources for ROMs, I think it's safe to say you should now try a new MicroSD. If it works then your MicroSD can't handle the data transfer speed.

So I tried something else. I copy my save data from another flashcart and put it into my Acekard. It loaded and worked until I tried to save and then it crashes.

This microsd is quite new.. Nevertheless I will try using another flashcart when I have it.

Wait.....Does Acekard 2i support 16GB?

There is no reason your acekard wouldn't work with pokemon black and white, you must have a faulty ROM, try downloading a new one and make sure its clean.

Everything else didn't work. I did nearly everything.

But when I switched to a 2GB microSD. It works.

I will never ever buy a 16 GB microSD ever again.

Thank you Hakoda Man of the Water Tribe. I will never forget your advice.

Turn on the DS

Load Acekard

Find the rom

Press y and a box should come up

Press Y and you should get some setting for the rom

Go to the last option which is Bypass AntiPiracy and change it from default to enabled

1) Try what exhyni said on your 16GB. I assumed that was already done but when taking a second look at the thread, it wasn't so try that.

2) If it still doesn't work then your 16GB card is too slow. It has nothing to do with capacity, brand, or class. It just has to do with the random access speeds.

The problem is the read speed of the card and most of the times a higher class sd card will also have faster reading speed, it doesn't have to be, but it normally is.
It is recommended to buy at least class 4, so you don't have this kind of problem.
