Great job on this guys. I am enjoying this so much more than the official one. Not that I didn't enjoy the GF one, but I actually feel challenged. Great job. Do you guys have a faq or something to let us know how to evolve the Pokemon that need to be traded, If I read your post right I thought you changed a lot of the way certain Pokemon evolve.

I found a fix to the "invalid checksum" problem.

Use the European (E) version and make sure it is unpatched and/or clean. PoleSmoker's "UNCRACKED" version does not work and i don't know if there is another (U) version out there. If you get the checksum error and the R4CCE ID does not match those posted, your patch did not take.

*Mods, I don't think posting those descriptors is against TOS since it does not link to said files or imply a link, but if it is, please censor it appropriately

When you download the patch from the 1st post in that zip there will be a folder titled "Documentation" - Search that folder and you will find all the info you need.

Sounds about right. I used a (EUR) ROM, not (US), and mine has worked flawlessly each time.

Sorry for the double post, I know it's shamed upon and for it I am very sorry.
TTDS users: HERE is the latest firmware. Thank Retro of course! It was a long wait but hey what can you do when only one person updates TTDS firmware, once a month at that....

Enjoy. Again, thank RetroGameFan.

(Mod please don't count this double post against me, if you'd look through these pages, people have been complaining about it not working on TTDS... but if you have to count it, I understand)

About Volt/Blaze and the new firmware: I can't get it to work as of yet. I get error-=4...
Hopefully he will actually fix it >.>

I am not sure what i am doing wrong, I patch with the patcher which comes with the download called tsukuyomi - UPS I am nearly 100% sure I am doing it corrently and using a clean rom, I click patch file, Choose the Legendary blaze black patch and then patch the ROM and no new files get created what so ever. Anyone know whats going on, Thanks a lot. If you can send me a already patched rom for this that would be great, email is: [email protected] if you want to add me on msn or something.

ALSO

When this is installed do you need to restart your whole game?

It does not create a new file. What you must do now is get the game ID for the .nds file you patched. If it matches one of these:

QUOTE(Hatchetball @ Apr 13 2011, 02:43 AM) (Game ID's in spoiler)
Using xDelta or UPS patching the game ID will always be:
Game ID's:
Regular Blaze Black: IROB ECCD49BA
Regular Volt White: IROA 06D7CAA7

Blaze Legendary: IROB D6374375
Blaze Normal: IROB D6374375

White Legendary: IROA 384383A3
White Normal: IROA 384383A3

..then the game is patched. At this point, start a normal game and when you get to hunting, you should notice new encounters in old areas and possibly other new mechanics. Otherwise the game will not look changed.

Edit: If the patcher program gives you a "checksum" error, see my previous post. If you get any other error message, please post it here.

did you find th ttds fix? so we can play it on ttds
Ok so apprently Blaze/Volt will work on TTDS - BUT - NOT Legendary. I don't see why Retro would fix them and not fix Legendary...
I don't know 100% if any of these will work on TTDS, I've only tested Legendary.
But so far according to sources in Retro's firmware thread, the other versions are said to work on TTDS.
It's rather disappointing :/
Chances are it won't be fixed for another month... BUT in that meantime, Drayano's update should be out and if we're lucky Retro will fix the TTDS firmware to work with the new update + Legendary v1.2.

Can you use AR codes? Such as 100% catch chance etc?
Yes. Are you using a emulator or a flashcart? (If flashcart, Which Flashcart?)

Tsukyomi doesn't create a new output, it edits the existing ROM.
Please do not ask for ROMs, it is against the policy here.
No you do not need to restart your whole game, depending on how you're playing it you can simply just rename your save file to match the ROM name.
Example: Blaze.nds would need the save to be named Blaze.sav

1 problem.

I have a part of 6 level 33's which is very good for where i am ( Charge stone cave )... I put the patch on and then go in there.. the first pokemon i see is 38 first trainer i see has 40s lol. Maybe it's best starting for the beginning.

I'm pretty sure the next update is gonna break what is working on the TTDS again anyway x_x I'm sorry about this, but I don't think I can stop the latter part of the Game ID from changing...

I do wonder how essential the clean versions are. There is merit in just playing a straight 649 hack, so I do want to keep them, but it's gonna suck if the TTDS only supports one version. Bleh!

All Action Replay codes from the regular Black and White will work on BB/VW as long as you have the Game ID correct and whatnot.

Also yeah, while the save file does work fine the level curve is COMPLETELY different =p Beginning from the start is best for the full experience.

Speaking of which, the sort of updates I'm making for this one will probably necessitate a new game for the full thing. Just some warning there. Dunno how long it'll take me at this point, being a bit on the lazy side. =x I've got the wild list completely done at least, fishing encounters and all now.

Oh and about the evolution items, the annoying bit about the equip and level up thing is the time of day, although as far as things go it makes more sense than making them use items (apart from the Up-Grade and Dubious Disc, maybe) so I might go for that anyway, yeah. Would at least save me deleting the effects of the DeepSea items/Metal Coat/Razor items.

The starters should be fine now. They aren't all in the same route but I've shifted them around slightly. Water are still in Route 3 and Grass in the inside of Pinwheel Forest, but I swapped the Fire starters from Lostlorn Forest to the outside of Pinwheel Forest. I've also changed it so that you can catch the Unova starters in those locations as well now. Previous gen starters are still 5%, but the Unova ones are 10%. Shaking grass as before.

Thanks a lot, at least the owner of this Mod/ patch/ what ever you want to call it actually takes the time in reading the posts.

Loving it, to catch up with the leveling a bit i used the rare candy cheat as my pokemon were in the 30s and the pokemon in the wild were in the 40s... so got all of mine to level 40 and now seems fine, Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I foresee 4 more hours of anger and no penguins.

Thanks for the update on the update, but I believe that having the Unova starters more common than the other ones is a bit of a weird decision... I mean, you start the game with one of them already, so the game should give you some time until you get used to them before giving you the option of choosing the other ones. I think that Start -> Pinwheel Forest is not enough time, and that they all should be available at some place a bit farther in the story. Lostlorn Forest, maybe? It's not obviously in the way, but still a place without much to do on the first time you get there, so giving it a(nother?) reason to be could be helpful. Plus, by then anyone who's chosen any starter would already know if they like them or not.
Oh, and make the old starters 10% as well

Well, the reason for the % is mostly because the encounter slots just won't work to allow 10% on all of them. While I could do it for the Water and Fire ones, Pinwheel Forest is just too clogged up with stuff to make all five Grass starters 10%...

I kinda wanna keep them early since they're sort of 'progressive' Pokémon, starting off pretty weak and gradually growing very strong. That and starters are often a common choice for a team, and the better the variety in the earlier parts of the game, the more players I'll probably get. I think.

Not a lot I can do on that front ;;

Will you be adding the new updated one onto this thread?

First off: I am glad I discovered this mod. I haven't played Pokemon for ages and this mod fixes two of the major problems I had with the games as a kid. Not able to get all Pokemon and the fact it was so easy for me.

But I wanted to ask a minor question and I am not even sure this is the right place to ask, but the download I had included a file with a couple of really useful "cheats" (Action Replay Codes). The problem is that only 4 of the 6 work.
(The ones that work are: View IVs/EVs (L/R/Start), Instant Shaking Grass/Dirt/Shadow/Bubbles, Double Movement Speed & Speed Up Battle Messages.)
The ones that not work are: Computer Everywhere (Start) and Auto-Run (B). Probably the most minor of the bunch, but when I activate one of these two my emulator crashes. I am using DeSmuME 0.9.7 on Windows XP. Because the other works I assume the version and rom type are correctly placed, so I have no clue what could go wrong.

I hope one of you guys can help me figure out why these cheats don't work. Thanks in advance.
