First guy on mine, it was a bet with myself and I am the winner.
I have leaved my 3DS in SP mode close to window with the face on the main plaza of my city for 1or 2 hours.
Today is the day with more people on the streets, I know it was a rigged bet but I'm fine with that.
We have around 55.000 people in my city and I know only 3-4 stores with the 3DS, a pricey console, furthermore every shop was with like 14 unit.
Finding even a single comrade at week of distance is great for me.
P.S. he play Rayman.

So I FINALLY got a tag.
Last night, three friends and I went to Madison Square Garden (NYC) to see The Strokes. We drove to Hoboken (Town in NJ, with a train that goes into the city), and I literally walked past thousands of people. I checked my 3DS right before they went on, and no tags. Later on the train back, I checked and I got one person. It said it was from two hours ago (Which meant it was like in the middle of their performance).
I was so happy I actually got a tag, and I am astonished how I only got one... The streets were flooded with people and we walked around 10k steps to get there.
P.S. The Strokes were absolutely amazing.

Went to the mall today and actually got a tag! I don't know who it was, but he had a SHIT-TON of those Puzzle Panels.
I went to a hella crowded shopping mall for over two hours and walked past every store, and I only got one Streetpass.

But seriously, I've had no success yet, but I have an idea for those of you in high school or with lockers in college/university; leave the 3DS in sleep mode in your locker as close as possible to a major hub (For example at my university, about 20,000 people a day walk through one intersection between the chemistry department and the science theatres).

No. If you just change the date and then change it straight back without even leaving the settings app then it just resets you day's steps. it doesn't fuck up anything.prwlr. said:
