Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

OutOfBoundsException.
- struct stat *statbuf = (struct stat*)malloc(sizeof(statbuf));
+ struct stat *statbuf = (struct stat*)malloc(sizeof(struct stat));
fix 2 parts.

Thanks for the update.
The file browsing left/right is too fast now.
I'm now able to run a .gba with a short file name, but hangs after print :
CODEpre is dir pass
isdir is file
open phase 1 pass

I press UP or DOWN but nothing happen on my DSi + iEvo in DSi mode.

So please clarify a few things...

1) Does this work on a DS phat/DS lite/DSi(XL) on a DS-mode flashcart?

2) Does this work in Sudokuhax?

3) Is there a compatibility list?

4) Is frameskip implemented? IDC if I only see 1 frame of every second of gameplay, it would be nice for turn-based GBA games.

5) On the subject of GBA games, this can load commercial ROM's, right?

6) How come this didn't come out sooner?!?

1) No. No flashcarts can run in DSi mode, except the iEvo.
2) IIRC, yes.
3) I don't think so.
4) No. There isn't even a stable build. It's for testing purposes only.
5) No. Like above.
6) It's fucking hard to make this work, and the iEvo has been released just recently.

Yes, yes it will. But it will only load ROMs up to 2MB
2) Does this work in Sudokuhax?
Yes, can load ROMs up to 14mb
3) Is there a compatibility list?
No. This is testing only and very slow testing at that
4) Is frameskip implemented? IDC if I only see 1 frame of every second of gameplay, it would be nice for turn-based GBA games.
Nope. He's just experimenting with how much RAM he can get into it at the moment
5) On the subject of GBA games, this can load commercial ROM's, right?
Yes it can. Up to 14mb

Because its near useless. DS had GBA compatibility anyway if you got a SLot-2 cart. DSi mode has only just been unlocked and this is insanely slow even there

I can not clarify anything for example my ds oo sound stopped ....
blink.gif

the graph guess because the game is a little lighter with fewer colors imagine why not pick the very fault ....
the fps for this game is not even a little faster in getting to be like a real gba ...
Now I tested the Super Mario Advance 2 ... be a little slow with the bugs in sprites hswp ......
wacko.gif

because the emulator still being in initial stage, to be advancing very well ....

Sound doesn't work on Super Mario Advance 2, I'm really impressed however and this is just me testing on DS mode. Maybe a little work and there in the future maybe we'll get something a little decent on the DSi, who knows.

Wow, I'm really impressed that you managed to run this on the DS at all!
I hope it would get an interface to load the GBA games, this way it is easier to use.
And I probably know how to compile it, but I remember having a hard time with these apps.

disabled choose UI because it is not working
arm9 added: frame skip UI part

http://www.mediafire.com/?voc63fev9xfxgt7

hope it work now
I'm sorry but i still can't run my gba.gba game in DSi mode. I have black screens just after selected the frameskip.
In DS mode, it starts after allocated my ez3in1 memory.

Ps : Do you know Woopsi ?
