Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

Hey guys !

I've read the whole 12 pages, and I found it very interesting
smile.gif
ichichfly, I love your work !

So, I have a few questions:

1) Does it work on R4 Revolution for DS (I'm using Wood 1.26)

2) How can I do to install it ?

3) Can you give me the latest test version, please ?

4) Does it run Pokemon Fire Red, or The Legend of Zelda, or Harry Potter ?

Thanks a lot !

So ichichifly have you tested any game or hombrew that runs at a decent speed now/
Maybe Yoshi's Island? The SMA one?

Yoshi's Island DS is/was the most playable game on DeSmuME Wii.

someone should test it. The fastes roms are roms that use Halt, IntrWait and VBlankIntrWait. In arm9 may BG,OBJ... slow down in hwspeedup they don't matter.

ADD: I hope this time the UI work http://www.mediafire.com/?4o8v62nunrg0kb1 hope it work

ADD2: sellect src (nitro are some homebrew examples i put in the nds file, fat is the fat in the flashcard,sd is the sd in the DSi it semms it is not working with CycloDS iEvolution only with sudockuhax (someone said this in a chat)) then set the options then set malloc and press start

ADD3: it is still very slow

on the DS you can alloc a little bit more than 2MB. This is the max size the emulator can use so it is the max size of a rom that can be loaded. You can load bigger rom but they crush after some time.

So, when you mean "will crush after some time", you mean that I'll never could play again, or it'll freeze ?

EDIT: Do you plan to make a few ameliorated versions, with new features, like the Wood firmware ?

EDIT2: How do I set the alloc ? Because I see numbers, like 14 680 567 or else, and "malloc"

This time the UI is ok. I can run in DSi mode with malloc set to 14 680 064.
Iridion 3D run at approx 2 fps i think.

Edit : in Fat: mode, when i try to enter a directory, the file browser consider it like a file and try to launch it.

Edit 2 : what is the purpose of the field "multi :" next to malloc value ?

thanks for the test

1. i try to fix that

2.it is not realy multi it is the vaule added or subtracted to malloc by the up / down button

1. it freeze

2.i don't understand what you mean

3. use the up and down button. malloc is a sort of alloc

Someone should make a complete guide for this. SOON.

1) Again, what's this gba.gba business? Is this supposed to go in the root? And does this mean that you can only load 1 game without renaming files?
2) Why do I have to set the allocated memory? And HOW?!?
3) Will smaller ROM's run faster?
4) Can people post framerate results of every game they've tried?

1. that was before the new UI

2. because every DS/i can allocate an other size of mem depend on the sd etc. and some games are only 100 KB but need 1 MB allocated mem and if i use to much it won't work. So you can set the mem. use the up and down button and press start

3. no The fastes roms are roms that use Halt, IntrWait and VBlankIntrWait. In arm9 may BG,OBJ... slow down in hwspeedup they don't matter. So ther are homebrew that are only 50 KB that run very very slow and big roms that run fast.It yust don't depend on the size

4.yes of cause but if you use hwspeedup don't say it in frames say it in % of the original game speed because frames don't make sence in the hwspeedup Version. In the arm9 version frames make sence and post the frame skip as well and ds or dsi mode. Because every thing other is not comparable.

QUOTE(Vigilante @ Mar 19 2011, 01:01 AM) 2 questions.
1.Right by you mean by dsi mode is by boothing it up on cyclodsi right.
2.Whats the dofference between using it on ds mode and using it on dsi mode(any major differences?)?

1.yes or an hack (Sudokuhax and packownbugs) that allow to start code in dsi mode

2. in the DSi mode you can alloc about 14,5 MB of mem and so use bigger roms. The emulator is twice as fast as in ds mode in hwspeedup about 101% but i think that don't metter. You can load roms from the SD card inside the DSi SD card slot

Damn,I don't have sudohax and cyclodsi so pretty much I get a really slow emulator.

Actually, It's just that no developer has BOTHERED programming a GBA Emulator for the NDS.
Not after they read Normmatt's theory. It's definately feasible, but for it to be decent enough to run anything, it would require lots of work.
