Sequel to KH: Birth By Sleep.

Some of you may know that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix will hit Japanese stores today, but to little surprise some videos from the game have been leaked. One of the videos is the extended secret ending revealing a new sequel to Birth By sleep dubbed "Vol. 2". The video also shows some minor footage of the game.

No. They can't just keep churning out side stories like this!? I mean ok sure they're cool and stuff but seriously, hasn't the wait for KH3 been long enough now?

Sure if this was one of those DN Forever cases I'd be like 'ok fair enough', but this is Square Enix, and it's not like they don't have the money or resources T_T

Let it be known, that a hardcore Kingdom Heats fan, is absolutely PISSED about this. I can understand wanting to build up the story so that KH3 leaves no question unturned, BUT THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND!

If any other games past 0.5, I may have to boycott them until KH3 comes out.

They released Birth by sleep last year for the psp, and now they will release the same game with minor changes again? WHAT? I wonder if it'll be available for the Go, too.

The way it always works with Final Mixes is
-Japanese game comes out first
-Western Localization comes out, with added features not in the original Japanese game
-Final Mix is released in Japan ONLY, with all the Localized features PLUS more.

It's pretty much just a way of making us QQ, and it works on me everytime

Kingdom Hearts is being milked more than Macross Frontier and even then Macross Frontier has some bit of originality despite being milked senseless.

I'm tired of everyone complaining about them milking the damn franchise, I don't know if you noticed, but the purpose of business is to make money, and last I checked every KH game has sold very well so far.

Yeah, god forbid we want a new original IP or have them just finish the story instead of coming out with more and more titles. Honestly, Birth By Sleep did a great job in answering some questions, and all the ones it did answer, even the secret ending, really made it seem like KH3 is the next game.

Just to set the record straight, I'm not UPSET with them not making KH3, I'm upset that while waiting, they're just pushing games out the Wazoo. They could easily just let the game's story stew for a bit while the Team working on 13-Versus [Who, btw, are the same team who did KH1 and KH2, and will most likely be doing KH3.] Finish that so they can begin work on 3.

For all we know, KH3 is already in the making, and these games are just to distract us from trying to dig deeper into the situation and finding something. Whatever the case, it's great the Kingdom Hearts has such a robust amount of games that fill in gaps, but I feel like there's no point in KH 0.5, As we could just assume "OHAY, So that's how all this got started". The only real puzzle piece left to figure out is why it took Aqua so long to get through the Realm of Darkness.

Also, in terms of speculation and spoiler.

Anyone notice when that big portal of light opened up by Aqua? Who wants to bet that that's the point in time in which the Darkness started to enter the worlds and set off the King to go figure out what happened to Ansem and everything? If Anything, I'm willing to bet BBSv2 will take place from right before KH1 all the way up until KH2's ending.

Which is why they keep making spin-off games and why they keep selling. They figure "Hey, if you DON'T make what will probably be the final game in the main story, people will just constantly buy the spin-offs to "dive deeper" into the game." And they do. Ever think that they never had this super-complex storyline and instead just pulled shit out of their ass and just made it able to fit into the chronology?

Do people think Birth By Sleep was a spin-off/side story game? Because it's been my favorite of the series so far and has shed the most light on the games' stories more than I think any of them have.

Honestly for all people know KH3 could be called Birth By Sleep Volume 2, although that would be a bad name.

Oh and shouldn't people know from the Final Fantasy series (and some others) that the numbered games of a series aren't always the best ones?

No matter how deep people still want to complete the main game series. Final Fantasy series have each as a self contained stories. The side stories like from x to x-2 are actually sequels. The question isn't about the best, but about closure. The story must continue and a lot of these side-stories aren't needed for me to complete the adventure as a whole.There comes a point when the side stories become too much and too cumbersome to the series.

Seriously I was pretty happy about the story of BBS. It even showed what most likely the plot of KH3 would be (the only reason it wouldn't be the plot of KH3 would be because it's covered in a side story). Also it has been said many times in interviews that these "spin-offs" will be crucial to understand KH3 and future titles. KH:COM wasn't a spin-off/side-story, it was a legit continuation of the Kingdom Hearts story (it helped in understanding KH2 aswell).

Srs bsns now: I think this game will be the game that links all the sidestories to the main story. As you may have noticed, every sidestory was shown except Coded. DiZ working on Sora, Riku stalking Roxas and Xion, and obviously BBS. This will make every sidestory relevant to the Main Story, and KH3D will link to KH3. I feel like the game is reaching the ultimate climax (hehe) of Kingdom Hearts 3.

im excited for volume 2, im not really in a rush for kh III, i dont really want the series to end, and all these games were important anyway, none of them were side stories except for 358/2 days (which in my opinion is the worst game in the series) i am however dissapointed that the whole story of birth by sleep isnt in one game, thats upsetting, but i can deal, hopefully its focused inside kingdom hearts

Alright, enough with trolling. Dude, I can't believe they're making another game. the story is so messed up in my head I can't imagine what would happen if they released another game -_-.

But, since I know I'm a KH fan, I'm probably getting this game, as long as if it isn't for the PSP, since I don't own 1.
