do you, by any chance, own a USBGecko ?

there, we could see and debug the IOS reloading.
I don't have the game to test myself

Sadly I don't have a gecko, nor do I know anyone close that has one. I was just thinking about trying to get a gecko for the debug output. I think for some reason when I choose slot 250 that either the globally set slot, or 249 is selected instead. I'm thinking this because when 249[57] is set globally, and any 250 is set for CoD:BO, the game runs fine. While if any non 57 cIOS is set globally CoD:BO will not work on any base 250, but works fine on any cIOS base 57 other than 250. I do not think it is reverting to 222 like when any 250 is set globally as my 222 is not base 57. These are at best educated guesses on based on my experiences mucking around.

At this point I'm just gonna wait till USB Loader GX is done getting overhauled before making any reports on this matter. I'd appreciate anyone who has a gecko and experiencing the same issue to chime in. If there is anything I can do with what I have, just ask, and I will do my best.

249 should be base 57

It's the only way to run COD:BO (it doesn't run on 250 base 57)

Incorrect. COD:BO will run on any cIOS with base 57. So either 249, 250 or 224. Rev 19 or 20 of cIOSX can be used, and rev 5.1 of 224 must be used.

While there are a few reports online about people using cIOSX 250[57] not getting passed the loading screen, there are way more reports that say it does work with 224, 249 or 250 (bases 57, rev19/20 or rev5.1). We can only assume that the people reporting 250[57] not working, must be using v18 or earlier.

Edit: I believe 250[57] only works with USB Loader GX with COD:BO if 250[57] is set to the Global IOS. If Global was 222/223/224/249, even if 250 is there it probably won't work.

I've tried about every combination - 223[57], 224[57] and 250[57] on GX up to r1010 with cIOsX rev 20b installed 249[56], 250[57], 222v4, 223v5 and COD:BO will not work (on 3 systems). It only works when I set 249 to 57. I'm glad some of you have been able get it going but I doubt that's the norm. It doesn't seem to matter if I try to load from NTFS or FAT32 it simply won't work. I haven't tried WBFS but no one uses that anymore - lol I look forward to your letters

I only use WBFS! Every loader i use see's it. I'm on 4.1E cIOS249 rev20 base 56 Hermesv4 222 37/38 Hermesv5 223 base 57. I use 249/56 as load cios and 223/57 to run BO
Tried Fat32 the other day wouldnt load BO. So i used CFG and it loaded. And i'm not concerned about if a game gets corrupted i just delete it and reinstall

I played Kirby JP version on a PAL Wii, with GX rev927 and cIOS rev17 (base 38).
But the base IOS shouldn't be a problem at all, it should be working on rev17 or rev20b[57] or [56] etc.

I didn't have any green area on the screen. But I'm using component cable, that could prevent it.

Try using PatchVidTV ON, and Patch set to Auto in the game preference, or Force NTSC if Auto is not doing anything.

PS : Do you have free block on your Wii ?
Maybe that's why the save can't be written and it's trying to create it each time you boot the game.

i have heaps of free block space. will try rev17 tomorrow. PatchVidTV didn't work either nor did forcing NTSC.

Tried it. Still didn't work. Any other ideas?

Hello
i have problems with newer rev than rev995. i know rev938 works well for me.

So i need rev between 938 and 995 to get a little closer to the rev which included that bug. I cant compile myself so please help me out. thank you!

My Problem:

I do have 2 partitions with 1TB on a 2 TB disk. Bot with wbfs. If i start usbloadergx i get the error to that no valid partition is found and i have to chose format or select. i choose select an select one of my partitions. after that my wii restart.

i tested with rev995, rev1011 and 1014. Same problem on every revision.

dimok told me that to see drives that big I needed to use cIOSX 20 [57] when I was helping him troubleshoot large drives not working. If you install that you should be able to see your drive. It works with my 2tb drives (NTFS with a small FAT32 boot partition) with version 1010 (and probably later versions).

If you haven't put a lot of games on your drive you may wish to get rid of WBFS. It's much cleaner using one large partition and you may have trouble filling up a 1tb WBFS partition with 500 games (the limit it will hold). The average game size is 1.75gig.

Looks like there's no hope for 3tb drives, though

Still no success with my wii. Still black screens on most games and the others freeze after playing shortly. Can't be the games.Would revirgining my wii and reinstalling a updated softmod probably fix this problem of freezes and black screens? Ready to try anything.

Hi. I don't know why everyone prefers CFG loader before GX. I simply LOVE this loader, it's simple, effective FAST and I just love the way it simplifies the loading of metroid trilogy by giving you the option to run it from the different DOLS (which CFG doen't have BTW)
You should do the same with CoD: BO ... By PRE selecting the correct CIOS or something...
Anyways. I was wondering if this is still being worked on? Cause I've read everywhere that development stopped on april, or something like that (although I can clearly see there are newer revs in here)
I guess the right question would be: Will the google code page get updated with new revs? (I mean compiled dols, STABLE new revs etc?) And will the GX update feature work sometime?
Right Now I'm using the one the simple windows installer downloads (which I'm guessing is rev 900 or something like that... haven't checked though...)
I would to hear from you guys and maybe you could point me somewhere where I could get the newer revs already compiled (like a new webpage if you will) or any other info would be appreciated.
Congrats for the loader! you should DEFINITELY keep working on it cause it's the best out there by far.

Hi there! Humm today I updated my homebrew channel and now when I use USB Loader GX, I can't find any games....

My HDD is working. I can see all my games on it if I check it with WBFS Manager on my computer.... But when I launch USB Loader GX( which is always successful ) It says I have no games...

Can someone help me with this ? I'm I the only one that thing happened to ? Thanks!
