Hi all,

just started using wiiflow 2.1 and uber impressed - but got 2 Q's

i) Channels - cannot seem to get installed channels to display. I have checked that 'hidechannelsbutton=no' in the .ini and fear it may be an incompatible cIOS.
I'm running the stable release from googlecode site (r92a Wiiflow 249) and have cIOS249 rev 20 base 56. This is not a dealbreaker - but would be nice.

ii) i think I read that wiiflow can now use game info xml's from wiiTDB - what version was this supported from?

Thx

In older revs off wiiflow channels button won't show when using base 56 / 57, try the newest rev available on IRC. There was some testing with not working base ios'ses and it should work now for base 56 / 57 too.

Newest revs also support WiiTDB

What changes I need to make to compile Wiiflow to use IOS 222? I already compiled an 249 one fine.
Open buildtype.sh with Programmer's Notepad and change 249 to 222 at the top where it says "VERSION=249", save and compile like normal
Or use "make ios222" instead of "make". We support ios222, ios223, ios224, ios249 and ios250. Default is 249.

I just updated to r181 and now when I start up my covers are all gone again. I know this must be a wiiflow.ini setting. I look in SD:/Apps/wiiflow and the data on usb is set to yes and the paths are all USB://wiiflow/covers/ ...etc..

Deleting the cache folder worked for me.

Tried deleting the cache folder, no go

I even renamed the wiiflow directories i found on the sd and usb. It creates a new SD:/wiiflow and the covers save to the SD. I even edited the wiiflow.ini and resaved it. Still nothing.. is this a bug or am I missing something in my config??

Updated from r122 to r166 (and now r181). The loding time to start Wiiflow seems much slower now. And the "Please Wait..." screen appeares when changing theme which it hasn't done before. Is this a know issue? Is there a solution?

report your findings to IRC, only issues with released versions should be put in this topic

figured it out... when I upgraded it created 2 [GENERAL] sections. I didn't see it at first as I didn't scroll down far enough. The second section had all the default paths set to sd.. so I wasn't loosing my mind

Hey everyone, reading up on the wiiflow code site and I'm really impressed with all the changes and activity, awesome work dev team!

I do have one question and perhaps I missed it in one of the committed change logs.

I just updated to r181 and now when I start up my covers are all gone again. I know this must be a wiiflow.ini setting. I look in SD:/Apps/wiiflow and the data on usb is set to yes and the paths are all USB://wiiflow/covers/ ...etc..

Did the wiiflow folder structure change again or is the wiiflow.ini located somewhere else?

Also on another side note when I did the in app upgrade I got a Code Dump when it stated it was going to restart Wiiflow..just an fyi.

Thanks

This is because before there was a space between [ and G to keep the [GENERAL] section at the top. I changed this because I dont like that cheap workaround for one, and second to make it obvious that ppl needed to make a clean install when updating over so many revs.

Mugotu, does this means that we must change this manually for the newer revs?I suppose that these changes are taking place in the wiiflow.ini file, correct?

I have a small request,if possible. After Wiiflow downloads Ocarina txt. files it is impossible to update with the newer ones. Can it be done,or is it too much hassle right now?

Once more,I want to thank you and everyone else for your amazing progress in the project!

Press 1 and 2 at the same time on the Wii remote to delete the txt cheat file then download it again. Must be done at the cheat selection screen.

the "Please Wait" has always been there when changing themes from day one unless you had the FBI warning image(with is now removed IIRC)

Not sure if this has been addressed, but everytime I toggle cheats on or off, I can't load the game. It just acts like it's loading and then kicks me back out to Wiiflow. I can however, start the game with cheats after exiting and starting Wiiflow back up.

are new libs required for the latest source ?
getting error compiling.

using:
devkitpro r21
libogc 1.8.3
portlibs from googlecode page

Read a few pages back on the thread there is a link to a pre compiled copy of the new libogc libraries, drop it in your DevkitPro directory ad jobs a good un!

I have an issue with the latest build of wiiflow.

The first time Wiiflow loads the wiimotes always sync. However, once I am done playing a game and I go back to wiiflow, sometimes the wiimotes not connect. So I must turn off the wii manually to get it to work again.

That's the only bug I have found.

I am using all the latest software.

I have a feature question, and before I ask I will preface that I understand that the primary focus right now is for the current bugs to be wiped out, followed by a stable release, then on to your next set of features. Now to my question.

I'm not very familiar with what can and cannot be done, so bear with me. First, as has been previously mentioned, will it be possible to load channels (games) from the SD card, similar to how it is done from the System Menu? I believe there is talk of (future) NAND emulation. Would this be just save games (which would still be a lifesaver, some of those save files are huge, over 100 blocks. Seriously, N?) or would it also allow for launching of WiiWare / VC games from that? If so, will there be categories available to set up, or multiple NAND backups? It would be nice to have, say, one for WiiWare, one for NES, one for SNES, one for N64, etc. There is also the matter of the number of slots available in the menu, even the SD one is limited, so it be a workaround for that.

I'd like to think I've been keeping up with what's happening, but if I missed something that blatantly states yea or nay to my questions, I'm sorry. Thanks for all the hard work, this is a fantastic bit of software that has been created / modified / upgraded / fixed / etc.
