Sounds like a button activator to me. I would expect it to work anytime during the game, but to be sure I'd wait until after you started playing as the default might be able to override the code after you would normally select it.

I've done it! this is the code for difficulty modifier! (mp1 only) replace x with 0=normal 1=veteran 2=hypermode. I think you have to beat the game to unlock hypermode difficulty before you can alter your saved file to hypermode. Just press left to activate! For all you Usb loader people out there, here is the code.

Each time you load your game through usb loader it get reset to veteran. You must reactivate it each time you load your game. Once activated, the code is good until you save and quit then reload through usb loader.

Difficulty modifier (Mp2) press left [Sharkbyte]

CE000000 80008180
047A8160 0000000X

replace X with 0= normal 1=veteran 2=hypermode

Difficulty modifier (Mp3) press left [Sharkbyte]
285F72CA 00000001
CE000000 80008180
0496A338 0000000X

replace X with 0=normal 1=veteran 2=hypermode
must reactivate each time if using usb loader. default is 1 through usb loader (veteran)
this game doesn't seem to work for me through the usb loader. It gets an error message. However the code works for the original disc.

hi guys,

thank you for cfg usb loader. It's very nice.

I found that a message showed up as "warning read (12121212??) error" during installing some games, but it's 100% complete installation.

Some of them can play, and some of them can't. What is the problem? from disc? Is there a solution for this?

Thank you

What format is your drive?
What type of disc are you using (retail or burnt)?
Do you have a mod chip installed?
Does your config.txt have a line to set the 'install_partitions' option and if so, what to?

One or both of the two bolded things caused your problem. Both can cause read errors from discs, especially in combination. You probably won't experience any issues due to the error, though.

why does these cause the problem?

my guess modchip might prevent from reading some part of disc. right?
but what's about burnt?

moreover, shall i remove my solderless modchip?

Hi!

I've seen that you added some script rename_game_folders-title_[id] and I wanted to know if there is any GUI able to convert .iso game with these settings:
D:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs

And being able to automatically rename or move .wbfs files if there aren't named this way.

For example if you have:
D:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs
D:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].wbfs
D:\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.wbfs

With this GUI you'd be able to rename or move it in order to get:
D:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs

I used to use (and translate) Wii Game Manager but it seems that pccfatman doesn't work on it anymore

The Wii drive is not built to play burnt discs. They cause quite a few errors and lifetime of the Wii laser is severely reduced by forcing it to play them.

As for the mod chip, it does come down to interference. The mod chip can automatically change data (e.g., to pretend there's no update partition) and this can interfere with the installation process. It happens much more frequently when you have install_partitions=all or 1:1 (rather than the default only_game), but it could still be causing the read errors elsewhere too.

I assume you meant 'solderless', and that comes down to whether you think you need it any more. I disabled my mod chip the day I got Freeloader, but that's because I only used the mod chip to play my import games. Menu Loader replaced that when Nintendo blocked Freeloader, followed soon after by Cfg. If you don't have need of the chip, go ahead and remove it; it will only hinder you. If you do still have uses that can't be provided by soft modding, I guess you need to keep it in.

Hello,

Since I use loader cfg (V54, V55, V56, V57) I have always had the problem of black screen that appears at random. It occurs as follows:
- I go into the homebrew channel.
- Select CFG Loader.
- Sometimes, at random, the screen goes black and I have to reset (pressing reset 10 sec.) the Wii.

Yesterday I discovered that if the wii is connected to the Internet (using Wi-Fi) the problem never happens, always happens when offline. Anyone else with this issue?

3.1E Firmware, Homebrew 1.0.6 IOS36 v4.18.

wait for the world icon in the bottom right corner of hbc to stop flashing before you launch cfg.

has been this way for ages, was mentioned a few hundred pages back :-)
