I honestly know how to program and have hacked plenty of things... but I've never dealt with the DS or the firmwares and honestly wouldn't know where to begin. It probably wouldn't even work. Just a silly idea i thought up to pass the time.

Good luck sneaking on your dad's laptop. make sure to clear your cache and cookies when your done.

Well causing an intentional memory leak might also cause instability and even crashes.

Also I don't have to sneak on, I can goto normal sites. It's just this is just a, ya know, piracy related site.

Well it would honestly be less of a memory leak then just newing up a pointer to take up the space, and not deleting it throughout the game's run.

I'm more interested on a global fix (like the Spirit Tracks one), since that way we won't have people sad that they're not able to play and stuff.

Although this wish is more related to how I want to play on No$GBA (since that code still can't block the crash that happens at the 64th event), but... I guess helping everyone is nice too.

And uh, didn't some higher-ups forbid more HG/SS fix discussions?

What did the problem end up being with ST?

Just wondering...

Seeing as I have an M3 Simply, will a patch released by the M3 team work on my flashcart, or will it only apply to the newer M3 flashcarts? From what I've read, it looks like I'll be out of luck, but I'm just checking again in case anyone knows anything else on the matter.

So if it doesn't work, what's the chances of having YSmenu updated to work with HG/SS if a patch is released, seeing as the latest release is from a year ago?

Snowballs chance in hell for M3 Simply...

YSMenu doesn't need to be updated, you need DSTT to be updated.
Not too long ago DSTT 1.17a12 was released... but ashley, the one responsible for the 'a##' releases stopped doing updates.
It's POSSIBLE for someone to update DSTT for Pokemon, but unlikely.

Damn I guess its time to upgrade from an r4 finally, I've held out waaay too long. Considering it takes a while now for even widely supported cards to get fixes, the wait for r4 fixes require much more patience.

So you're saying that YSMenu relies on the DSTT firmware for updates?

So if a new DSTT firmware is released, does that mean that an updated YSMenu will be released, or I just put the DSTT files in with my YSMenu?

It's perfectly possible to make a virus in Notepad. geez

Err, what? TXT files aren't executables.
But that doesn't mean you can't make them in notepad
