Depends on your purposes. But the default base is 57 so use that if you don't need anything specific to another IOS.

well I do have Guitar Hero, Rock Band games as well as SSBB, NSMBW, MPT and many other games, is there a list of what IOS is used for which games? so I can't just use the 222 v4 for all of my games like I am doing now for my Fat32 partition? I also have 249 rev17 installed as well, thanks
If you want to use it to play your music games, install with 37 base.

If you want games in general to be faster (but not music games), install with 57 base.

If you want older apps to work, either use IOS222 or a patched 36 for them, or install with 38 base.

I just upgraded from v50 to v54 two days ago any you already have another verison out!
tongue.gif
I like the fact that I can now set defaults for all games instead of each individual game, but I've noticed a problem, in the configurator I set a default hook type for ocarina and turned ocarina on as default. Now when I go to start the game, and I turn off ocarina, the default hook type stays enabled and the screen hangs at the black part before the game loads, I will try to disable the default hook type as well and turn it off to see if it works now, but in v50 it worked without anything enabled and only didn't work when i had ocarina enabled (because I couldn't set the hook type).

Also, I made a vbscript to automatically download all cheats for every game you have if it's in an NTFS or FAT32 partition, don't know how to get it to work in conjunction with wbfs_file, so I may tinker with it, but if anyone wants an automated downloader to download ALL cheats at once, here it is:
http://www.mediafire.com/?mv1yoxqnymj

That's an option you may want to include in future versions of your amazing loader!
smile.gif

I have it set to not overwrite by default, because there's no way to specifically edit the codes within the loader, and if you edit a code that needs a value in it, and then download the codes for that again, the changes will be overwritten. Maybe adding the option to download all with overwrite, or adding an editor in the loader to allow you to edit code .txt files and change the options you want before compiling.....

I wish the loader could handle extra large text cheat files like zelda and ssbb so I don't have to edit them on my comp.

You're doing a wonderful job, keep up the great work!!!

Again: The vbscript to automatically download all cheats for games is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mv1yoxqnymj
You have to edit the first couple lines of the file to point to the games directory so it can read the directories names, and point it to where it will save the cheat codes. If you want it to overwrite codes, you'll have to uncomment a line in the file. If you want it to be recursive you'll have to do the same, but that function may be unnecessary as games should not be nested in other directories. It's currently set up to handle only the original format of \wbfs\GAMEID_Game title
so if your directory structure is different I would have to tweak it. If anyone is interested, or wants me to write software to do other things, please let me know.

My issue of cfg not reading the SDHC card with base 57, 60, 70 are gone. Looks like it was the SDHC issues with rev18. Rev19 fixed this and now using cfg55b with no problems.

Additionally, using Hermes rev5 base 37 gave some issues with games such as Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 (v4 38+37 was fine), Waninkoko's r19 base 37 does not have those issues and seems to work fine.

cfg v55b2 (beta2)
cfg55b2.dol
cfg55b2-222.dol
(or online update)
Changes:

cfg v55b2 (beta2)

* Games on SD/SDHC FAT/NTFS with cios 249 rev19

Note: I only tested it on SD, but it is quite possible that it will work on SDHC too.
Let me know if it does or not.
Hermes ios SDHC support is not changed, only 249 rev19.

so I no longer need mload-222 for my ntfs drive if I install rev19? Almost sounds too good to be true!

oggzee, you mentioned in the changelog of 54a, that the new cheat engine of WiiPower is included, so long codes should get loaded with your great loader.

I tried it with SSBB and the PAL cheat codes of it (in gct format, from the official site www.brawlplus.net)

But, after trying to start this codes, the loader is saying at start up, that there are too many codes; they won't get accepted and won't work.

So, was the support of the new cheat engine (aka Ocarina 2) removed in one of your new releases, or did I something wrong with it?

I guess you're doing something wrong, maybe you didn't update correctly?
Check the version in global options screen.
Try both v54 release and v55b2

Helllo,
I'm experiencing a problem :
I used the tip to make wii sports Resort working ( put the RZTP01.dol in SD:/folderofconfigurableloader ) and after that in the options of the game i put alternate .dol and player.dol, he then finds my .RZTP01.dol but he gives me an error... ( i dont remember the exact name, i'll give it if needed )

Any solutions ?
Thanks

I downloaded the new dip plugin, but cannot find a readme or post that explains what to do with it. My search took me to the release page of the new plugin.

I have a 4.1U wii, 222v5 and 249v19. Using configurable 55b, about to try b2 after I type this.

I had been having trouble getting 249 to work right, but removed all of 222 and 249 with Dop Mi 12 and all seems right.

Played a bit of fifa and all was good, but on exit it hung instead of making it back to the wii menu.

THanks

Mike

Have you placed the PAL gameconfig.txt in the root of the USB/SD? Because the NTSC-Codes work here without any problems, so you must be doing something wrong...

Thanks a lot for the replies, oggzee and Blue-K,

It's right, I forgot to put the gameconfig.txt in the root of my SD-Card, CLoader is not giving an error here, anymore.

But Brawl+ is still not working. It's everything like the normal Brawl, after loading the codes.

It seems, that CLoader isn't the problem.

Thanks!

Edit: If I'll start it now with codes, I'm getting a black screen.
Mhm...

Edit 2: It's working but the PAL version seems to be bugged hardly.

It's very outdated, nobody wants to port the NTSC-Codes. That's why I'm using the NTSC-Brawl and the NTSC-Codes.

Did somebody check what's different for both versions? If it's only the .dol and some text, alternative .dol loading with the NTSC .dol and the NTSC codeset renamed to PAL would be worth a try.

Hello oggzee, thanks for this fantastic usb loader.
It's possible to add this feature:
1. Symilar than download all cover, add the option to download all avaiable cheat
2. When start a game memorize the game played and when you restart (open) the usb_loader start from the position of the last played game. (I use coverfloader3d and when you reopen the loder start from the first game)
3. In the select game list add a icon or a phrase, or other for:
a. see if exists the txt file cheat
b. if the cheat are enabled in the selected game

I don't think i ever said anything like that.
If anything I probably said that I would not do it because it's too much work.
WiiXplorer can play thp files from nintendo games and I think WiiXplorer not uses linux.
is thp playback an alternative?

THP is a Wii/Gamecube video format. It has nothing to do with game banners.

QUOTE(Dr. Clipper @ Mar 6 2010, 04:08 PM) Before anyone asks (and yes, they will still ask), Cfg 55b appears to be working just fine with rev 19 of 249.

Except for in SNEEK
frown.gif

Hangs at the splash screen.

At least under rev 18 it would load game lists off of WBFS, FAT, NTFS, etc... It wouldn't lauch games of course, but...
Isn't that just the nature of cIOS and SNEEK at the moment? It has more to do with the cIOS than CFG USB Loader.
