Seriously, there is nothing really super descriptive here, so i thought that since i just got it working in rock band 2, i would help everyone else.

Now, ahead of time, i am using a Wiikey chipped system so i just burned a fresh RB2 from usenet and using that, you cannot use USB Loader properly with DLC hacks i guess. The SD card im using is a 4 gig NON-SDHC SD card from patriot i got from Frys a long time ago. It works in rock band 2. My system menu is 4.1U.

Now, just off the bat, i couldn't even get to the Music store because ive never used the wii shop channel before (LOL @ paying for wii stuff). You need to agree to the User Statement under Internet in the system settings, then go into the shop channel. Problem was, i was on 4.1 and 4.2 has a updated shop channel. I used the GWHT here:

http://gwht.wikidot.com/wii-shop

Worked great and i got into the shop right after.

Now that i was in the music store, i decided to check out what my options were. First off, there is a Rock Band 2 DLC Installer + 3 WAD files you need. I will not link you to them, but google will find it for you. Once you use the installer and install the wad's, which all 3 should give you a -1077 or something error message. I installed the same wad a few times per just to make sure. After that, i turned off my Wii, turned it back on and went into rock band from the disc channel. Went to the music store and now everything says purchased. When i tried to download a song, it kept giving me a error immediately. After searching for a while, i noticed some people said you need IOS37 patched. So more time on the Google Machine lead me to the RawkSD Patcher. Once i installed that, i went into the music shop from rock band 2 again, and this time it let me download a song. Tried it a few more times, worked perfectly. And thats it lol.

I also did the extra steps of downloading all the DLC via PC and using the Rock Band DLC manager, but you dont need that to get this going. My next step is to use one of those tools to make a custom Rock Band 2 disc and remove all the songs i dont like and put in anything else i do want from the track packs and rock band 1. I am using a guitar hero aerosmith and a rock band mic for my setup, works fantastic. If anyone knows of a good, solid guide for doing a custom Rock Band 2 disc, please let me know. Thanks.

Just an update, i installed RawkSD, imported Rock Band 1, selected a few songs and put them on the SD Card. They did not work. I had to use the RawkSD app from withing HBC, and after that, my RB1 songs showed up just fine in Rock Band 2 as DLC. Just a heads up. This stuff is much easier then you'd think. Thanks nintendo!

I vote to NOT ban this dumbass

Is useful info... Wii dont have songs pack as PS3 or X360, so... buying songs is really expensive...

Maybe that should works for RockBand 3... for now... is the best...

Buying the game with all instruments is enough

Vague info is not very useful.

Just another update. Using RawkSD, which is one fantastic piece of software, i took every single song i wanted from the guitar hero games and rock band 1, turned them into DLC, then put all the DLC from the music store i wanted on the card, and i have everything available inside rock band 2 with the use of a single 4 gig SD card. Im only using 2.2 gigs of it also (i dont like most rock music, just the popular stuff on the radio). Again, if anyone is thinking this is too difficult, it is not. Now i get to clear out all the music games from my USB hard drive, probably 30+ gigs ill be saving!

You sure? Downloads working for me, still with non-updated shop channel. Songs play fine after download as well.
