FYI, I've started compiling WiiXplorer and adding the dols to my files page. There's also a few other useful things there you guys might find helpful.

Hi Old8oy,

I am using your forwarder (thank you) and had no problems till v58 (did not try v57) when it start freezing at loading boot.dol in the loading screen. Any idea?

Thank you.

i can confirm this error

when booting from the forwarder ive also noticed the debug says its loading from sd://apps/wadmanager ???

but yes this only happens with r58, drop a rev or two and the forwarder loads from the correct place or should i say shows the correct loading path

+1

It may have something to do with rev57:

*Changed HomebrewBoot behaviour (seems like most are working now)
*Entrypoint changed
*Added libtinysmb to the source so you don't have to use our libogc but the official is just fine.

*Added a Forwarder for our app.
NOTE: Using the paths SD:/apps/WiiExplorer/boot.dol and USB:/apps/WiiExplorer/boot.dol as also defined in the Homebrew Browser
Loadingimage will be replaced by NeoRame soon

Did you try rev57? I know 56 works and 58 does not but did not have a chance to try 57 yet?

The forwarder i had stopped working for me with one of the latest releases so i've removed it from my files link.
I think they may be working on an official forwarder so keep an eye out.

r61 is on my files page along with another forwarder (that works!). It uses the actual dol that the WiiXplorer team is using minus the "official" splash screen (since it hasn't been created yet) and with a minor adjustment to the boot.dol path. It now forwards to apps/WiiXplorer/boot.dol rather than apps/WiiExplorer/boot.dol as was originally in the source.

FYI, it takes about 5 seconds to load after the splash screen on the first startup but loads up very quickly after that. However, their forwarder.dol is still a work in progress so that may get sped up in the official release.

r66 out? Thanks.

I wonder why the WiiXplorer team doesnt include a meta.xml, logo, and a changelog in the release (making it ZIP instead of DOL)

Can i suggest something?
I have problems with the USB mounting. WiiXplore don't see the hdd and the config file on it. I solved the problem compiling the source code by myself, changing(in settings.cpp) the value of the mounthmetod string from 0 to 1.
Is possibile to make this the default value for next revisions??
