I have a 150gb hd and once I get to 130gb exactly I can't add any more without using a PC application. I wonder if this is something to do with the supposed 500gb limit?

Maybe it's a bug with the end of the drive or just me?

If you were using an older tool (like older than a couple days ago) then there was a deallocation bug that was causing issues. Fixed in the newer releases. There's a huge thread on it somewhere in this forum.

thanks for the reply, but that isn't it, unfortunately. Once the fix was released I formatted and am now refilling the drive. The first time, that's what I figured the problem was, that's why I reformatted. But now that it's doing it again with the updated tools, I'm pretty sure it seems like another bug somewhere.

Has anyone filled up their drives with the usb loader completely?

I'm using the ultimate usb loader 6.0, based on waninkoko's 1.1 with the above mentioned fix.

sorry to bump this, but I can't be the only one experiencing this problem...

I have 21.51gb free on the drive and I'm trying to install Job Island (for example) it's exactly 1.52 gigs. So, it's only going over the 20 gig mark by .01gb and it locks up. Nothing larger will install, either.

once again, has anyone here filled their usb hd with the usb loader?

thanks.

LOL, are you sure you actually have that much space on your 150GB hard drive? I only get 231GB on my 250GB hard drive. Most hard drives don't have quite as much storage space as advertised due to the nature of hard disk drives and how they are manufactured.

it's actually a 160gb but after formatting it is 150gb.

as I said before, I can add isos on the last 20gb through pc applications just fine, so the free space is definitely there, but the loader cannot add to it at all once it hits 20gb free.

It did this before, too, so I think it's an outstanding bug.

But I find it hard to believe that no-one has filled a drive or ran into this issue at all.

Tagg is partially correct, but you should be able to squeeze a few more gigs out of the hdd. The actual free space will vary between manufacturers, but at max your 150 gig hdd will have 139.68 gigs (yeah I whipped out the calc for that one). Manufacturers market a gig as 1000 MB, windows calculates a gig as 1024 MB, thus the discrepancy.

Sorry I cannot help with the situation....perhaps consider a bigger drive.

he's definitely NOT correct in this situation. Anyway, how could that possibly be when I can add 20 more gigs of games on the computer? I have a 160 gig hd after formatting i have ~150. The Wii application's are bugged when installing to the last 20 gigs.
