FYI, Shibuya is a district/ward of Tokyo. But if they take it to a different city, that would be awesome. I think the people that disliked this game more often than not disliked either the graphical style, the combat or the characters. But they, just like Neku, aren't looking at the broader picture. TWEWY is not just a game. It is, just like was mentioned by CP, a fable. A message that we all need to broaden our horizons. And just like was said by a famous someone, "The world begins with you."
I really liked the gameplay. Innovative, but still fun. The customization was fairly deep, and I loved the soundtrack. (Some of the songs reminded me of Jet Set radio Future).
Decent characters, good twists, good story, good gameplay, good music, good ending, and lengthy days, makes it a great game.
I wouldn't mind a sequel, but I just hope the characters from the original isn't in there, because I'd rather see new characters in the game instead.
Me too, Eon. It's brilliant, ain't it? However, my version didn't come with the "Lullaby For You - JYONGRI," So I grabbed a vid off youtube of that. Awesome song, really suits the game.
The Lullaby for you song was only in the EU and Eurpoe OST, along with 4 other songs (Deja vu, twister gang mix, and other two). These songs were late released (except for Lullaby for you) a week ago in Itunes. Now, the FUll (both EU-Europe and Japan ost) know as Subarashiki Kono Sekai +The world ends with you = It's a wonderful world will be released in July 30th (japan). I'm Expecting receive it from Yesasia at August 12th
I finished it about 2 weeks after release. But I personally still like turnbased RPGs better than action RPGs for some reason, but yeah a sequel would be great.
Love the game and i hope for a sequel. somewhere in the game in the final days or so i believe. some reaper. one of the main ones said something about there is more UG's in the world besides Shibuya's with different game masters and such. So maybe a sequel in another place? neku and the others are back on the Real world. so having them in a sequel to me is unlikely. TWEWY: FRANCE! LOL just kidding.
post in the help section you fuckin bumper I don't think there will be a sequel, since somewhere in GBAtemp there was some thread about TWEWY not allowed to have a sequel. I remember i even flamed the guy(not a member here of course) who made this rule.
I'm fairly sure Square-Enix's president actually said they'd stop gambling on new IPs and just stick to old faithful stuff like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Dunno whether that rules out a TWEWY sequel.
Honestly though, I have mixed feelings about a sequel. I would love to play more of TWEWY, but a sequel would never, ever be able to do it justice at the end of the day.
One of the best games & soundtracks I have ever encountered.
My first run through I missed out on a lot of pins (not to mention I didn't unlock all six slots either). I deleted my old save file and decided to start over, and I'm loving it even more the 2nd time around. I've already made it to week three, and I keep hoping I'll run into some new amazing pins I may have missed last time.
