the bottom right corner tells you what cios your running. mine now says ios36 or something,
now im guessing i have to reinstall the dvdx patch or whatever team twizzers released a while ago and then update to revision 7?
I don't want to ruin my wii......

From what i know(Assume) You shouldn't need DVDX at all anymore that was only for 0.1, Maybe you could start over completely with some of Wanin's tools?

I actually had to reinstall everything on my wii (one thing I HATE about installing wads (downloadable games and other channels) is that if you run out of memory while the installation is taking place it kills your wii and you have to format the wii memory... 2nd time for me now.... I wish there was a check for that in the wad installer....

back on topic, because I HAD to reinstall I decided to do a clean 0.3beta loader install (gamma wasn't out yet) and my fav wiiware and dvdx so I could experiment with dvd-format audio playback (I WISH the wii would play freakin mp3 disks...... my stupid dvd player doesn't). DVDX (default options) made 0.3beta loader stop working (I always got those error messages with text on top of text about dvd read errors).

So I killed dvdx, killed cios, reinstalled cios, and loader was fine again. Does anyone know what a WORKING dvdx installer setting is that won't interfere with 0.3b and 0.3g game loader operation? PS. search showed inconsistent results and I figure that with Gamma out now the devs would know the real answer, sorry to ask though in these busy Wii gameplaying moments!

I don't think that's too off topic, maybe not currently En Vogue (gamma) but not off topic :-)

Cheers

Is there a way to make the backup launcher always load a certain configuration so that I don't have to keep going into the menu to toggle things like force NTSC?

almost everything seems to work great, especially call of duty: world at war. now i don't have to get the ntsc version.
there is one problem with bond: qos, the audio on the first level is constantly choppy. i'm not sure if it stays that way through the whole game or not.
maybe if anyone else got it working (maybe decrypted?) in another loader version could tell me if it worked any better (probably not)

I played a multiplayer and an online game and both worked perfectly ... the only issue i could see is that my skill was lacking and the feckers kept killing me

Yeah it's truly awful with the loader - garbled and broken (starts pretty much when the chopper flies overhead at the beginning). Works fine in a modchipped wi (as you'd expect). I couldn't keep playing to test, it hurt my ears too much. :/
