Update (no one cares, I know)

Wario works on WiiShizzza's BLC...had a bad disk that was causing the problems...

Going to try Okami. If you know it doesn't work don't crush my dreams, that's my job.

NTSC to PAL saves don't work to my knowledge. I had an old Metriod 3 save that won't work on my new backed up PAL copy of the game.

yeah we know it works with a modchip, but this is a Backup Launcher thread..
ill be glad when when they get all the kinks out of it, so we wont have to
see those type of replies anymore.. if we wanted a mod chip we know where
to get them.. if we want to play COD5 at 6x, we can just go buy the game..

I think the backup launcher scene is more impressed that someone has
figured out how to circumvent the firmware into launching backups, than
an add on piece of hardware to do it.. Makes it more fun and interesting
to me anyway..

Anyone can stick a modchip in a wii, but it takes a select few talented
programmers to actually softmod circumvent it, Way to go guys! keep up
the good work..

Im kinda kicking myself now that i gave away my non modded Wii to be honest.
I have everything i need to do the testing except the wii itself - ill have to buy another Wii for messing about with again.
And yes i realise mod chips are off this thread , but i made the zip and wrote the how to based on non modded wii's
Unfortunately i cant test things for others any more because of the chip.

Djtaz I know i speak for many here when i say that it is because of your contributing that some of us even Know About CIOS and softmod options at all! your sig keeps me well sorted...just want to say thank you to wiigator also!

(my original Crash Mind Over Mutant got steped on and cracked by a little one yesterday thanks to the 4 part sd dumper and your backup loader I was able to say to the little tike without a second thought when his eyes welled up with tears:

"aww dont even worry about it buddy i have another one see?!"

LOL after he saw it was "ok" (my backup running smooth as silk on a 1:1 using 0.3b) he smiled from ear to ear! So your loader not only put a smile on my face but a childs as well! thanks for all your hard work guys! keep it up!

Awwe shucks - that nearly put a tear in my eye !

I dont do anything really except gather best of the lads files and put them into one zip and try to keep it as up to date as possible.
All the real work goes on with WiiGator , Waninkoko , WiiShizzaa, ppc_gba, Forsaken, Ironmask ...... ahhh this list could go on and on but pretty much everyone on here has a great input into the whole things.

Granted the step by step install prob makes life a little easier for most , but the coders are making things more and more simple every day - noobwarrior7's latest install system couldnt be faulted.

Theres a big gang of people in here i want to go for a drink or two with in Paris once this is all sorted out .... maybe Berlin would be easier ?

well i for one find that to be a blessing for those who want to learn. It says a lot about your character just watching how patient you are with people around the forums..I have a lot of respect for that and I would bet the people you help out there everyday are appreciative of that as well.

Pardon my ignorance guys, but I was wondering about the "Ocarina" option in the backup loader config menu. Is this a standalone version of the Ocarina hack modifier built backup loader or does it need to be run in conjunction with the real ocarina program?

its built in, just gotta have your codes folder on the root of your SD card with the codes that you want in there
