Let's all just take that in for a moment.

for this exploit to work would it be needed that the system IOS be patched or the games need IOS? if the system IOS was not a good place to start what about that menu system loader? the one that "aims to replace the current menu" could you not code 1:dvd reading into that 2atch/execute an IOS into it(to call the IOS to read the disk or what ever) as to not get bricks n suchteq said:I don't believe it's as hard as everyone is saying...
Maybe hard for an average person, but certainly not hard for them. They could have it done in afternoon, if they haven't already.
If I'm following correctly, it should be easy to toggle the UID. From there, you'd have to pass calls from DVD_LowRead to DVD_EnableDVDVideo, and then tie the output back into what DVD_LowRead returns.
In any case, nitro, if you could PM me, we could throw ideas around.

what hes trying to say. I think is that by "ISO loader" they mean ISO backups that have been burned onto disk, in a sence you dont keep "burned/backed up" disks on your hardrive, you have the ISO image.theclaw said:Volsfan91 said:theclaw said:I don't want an ISO loader.

Um, what are you trying to say? Say that in English please. I don't understand at all...
An ISO from the SD slot would be limited to 2GB or less, due to no SDHC. DVD-R can reach around 8GB on a dual layer disc.

however, sorry for the pirates but backup boot seems to require more than that
dvd library is going to be great anyway for emus
Thanks.
It's funny how hackmii now plans to release a DVD library on their own.
Because I got closer and closer to the DVD exploit, suddenly Waninkoko and Hackmii want to want to be the first to release this.
Anyway, the way I would do it is like this:
CODE- Install custom IOS like 249 which:
ÂÂÂÂÂÂ - patches the DVD module with the exploit
ÂÂÂÂÂÂ - patches IOS reloading, so that when the game runs, no other IOS will load
- Launch game from a homebrew app (or WiiMU), which sets IOS version to 249

I edited a DI IOS module elf, and I am working rewriting the DI module entirely with custom code.

I'm so happy I'm crying
correct me if i am wrong about this whole thing but could that also mean a possible DVD channel in the near future?
......Crying slowly quiets as my sobbing body is dragged away......

I don't know about you people, but I have about nine DVD players, not counting devices that support MPEG2.
The Wii can't even upscale...
