Thank you for pointing this out, after following the guide on page 145 the game can actually be installed now, but DBI complains about the SDK version, and the game only shows a black screen. I'll test a couple other games that were giving me issues and check that thread in more detail.
In my case i always use awoo installer for my games but that's just me.

I’m still on 18.1.0
Atmospheres 1.7.1
All games I was interested in playing at the time never required me to update, so I never do. Do you need to update to play a game, if not, I wouldn’t bother updating.
yes it seems so because when i tried to install a latest game dbi complained about the firmware im on being too old

but i just see another post above this so currently reviewing...

My opinion : If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it.
If you do not have to transfer anything to a Switch2, the firmware upgrade does not add anything significant except that user experience improvement thingy Nintendo always mentions.
I agree but on 20.5 the latest games are not working which is a real pain

I am not convinced with the latest firmware on a modded switch
too many people are complaining about certain things not working it just seems very buggy overall.

Most likely yes. The only games i had issues with not running were pokemon fire red and leaf green but those are just gba games so there are already other ways of playing those.

I resolve updating with two SD. One mantsin FW emunand in 19.0.1 and new one make with FW 22 in emunand. This is only for the new games I try

you are correct awo installer actuaolly attempted the install but gave me an error at the end. however, despite that the game installed and appears to be working.... ammazing thanks for now.

yes I am hesitant to upgrade tbh no point its stable on 20.5 so unless they release like a huge game that i want to play i dont see the point

p.s why r there so many bugs and errors nowadays?

so I'm on 20.5 but today for the first time in a while I tried to install Tomodachi Life Living the Dream which I loved the demo but my switch is saying that my firmware is too old

is it worth me upgrading? what exactly do I have to do again - I always forget

This game is great but I remember it being a lot of hassle to upgrade the firmware etc
Ask Mr. Breast for a coin.
