hi...im new here...and so im noob in modding wii...so maby you can tell me wich chip is now the best? i wanna play backups und homebrew software...i wanna all kinde of stuff like i allready have on my old moded xbox. so wich chip shoul i buy...wich one is the best now and for the feature? thanks!

The wii is still a bit away from getting to the point of the old xbox, but we're getting there thanks to recent exploits. All chips will work the same in letting you play homebrews. With backups I am a fan of the d2pro, but there is another chip on the horizon I still need to try out. I just like the idea of jtag updates and on the fly patching. If you have one of the older chipsets d2a/dms/d2b you have a lot of choice, and even free open source solutions.Gaisuto said:Where is the current cheapest site for the Wiikey? Hi, i'm new here, and am hoping someone could PLEASE help me out.
Last week was my birthday,and my girlfriend said she'd order me a modchip for my Wii,and i have a friend who will install it.
I have a launch Wii, and it seems i would need a Wiinja.
Problem is that i can't seem to find a good place to order one from.
I'm in the U.S.,btw.
I've read thru this thread off and on over the last week, and most stores don't seem to carry the Wiinja Deluxe.
Plus alot of sites seem kinda suspect.
PLEASE can someone point me in the right direction ?

So...so far, is it unanimous that the D2pro the best one out there right now? I don't know anything about price wise but the best one with compatibility and all region aswell as homebrews? I have been doing some research but I can't really decide which one to get. Please reply if you have been a satisfied customer of a certain type of modchip. Thanks!

I don't even know if it is possible to use it as a normal modchip at present. The isn't very much good information about it. At least I haven't found any.

Its actaully the best value for money considering you get the infectus modchip, a usb cable, and the programmer for it

Just a quick kudos to OzModChips for great service! Ordered an Argon/Wii-Clip on 5/2 and it would have arrived on 5/10 to SoCal if the USPS had decided to deliver it, but I had to go pick it up on 5/12. Happy with my purchase.

a friend of mine who has had his for a little while wants to get a mod and I was wondering whats the best out there and where to get it from inside the us. As far as i can tell the wiikey would be the way to go.
