TempleOS

SerenityOS might be in the future, but it just isn't ready right now.

Windows 98 is the most nostalgic one to me, XP comes after.

Easily Windows 7. I miss Aero Glass, I wish they never got rid of it. Vista wasn't bad on a brand new PC but Windows 7 was just that but better in every way.

Pretty much - iOS is a direct copy, with touch functionality.
Touch devices have existed long before Apple did, and I bet a bunch of other companies were inspired by many devices during the PDA pocket era.

The history of the iPhone was fascinating, and this was before Apple adopted the name.

I really only use windows because it's convenient, I use it at work and for gaming Windows has the best compatibility (for me at least). But when I really want to hobby with electronics and stuff: Linux on a raspberry is fantastic.

And fuck windows 11 and Xerox for not supporting my old printer anymore. Luckily I have an old win10 laptop laying around which now has 1 purpose for the rest of his life.

However: Installing windows Chicago from a stack of disks was quite fun.

any debian varient of linux, one of the easiest types of linux to use

though i dislike steam os 3 (has a steam deck ) and holoiso (steam os 3 project built by using the packages on steam servers but can run on pc's) why? many of the build packages are severely outdated and updating some (even though they're on the steam repo) can easily break the OS also the root filesystem is locked (I get the reason) but it relocks after each OS update which is annoying

on a side note I replaced steamOS3 with CachyOS handheld edition has gamescope like steam but no annoyances like RO filesystem or seperate /var partition (where flatpaks are installed in steamOS3) (also a quick tip on user creaton enable auto log in otherwise gamescope will fail to load on boot (no big picture mode)
