Well...
I installed the NVMe into an enclosure and formatted it as exFAT using my PC. Then I copied a sample game onto it (inside the homebrew/app folder) because it's relatively small and fast to copy:
New Super Lucky's Tale
After that, I opened shadowmountplus via the payload manager to let it scan the drive.
When I launch the game, the screen just turns pink. I can hear clicking sounds in the background when I press buttons on the controller, and the controller vibrates too, but I only see that solid color – no game at all. 🤔🤣
About 30 seconds after launch, the Debug logs show the message: kstuff paused while the game is running. Even if I let it sit for hours, nothing changes.

Update:
Just to clarify, this doesn't just happen with this specific game—it happens with all PS5 games across the board.
I am currently on firmware 12.02.
Interestingly, PS4 PKGs are working perfectly fine, it's only PS5 games that are giving me this pink screen and the Kstuff paused message.

Are you using the latest Shadowmountplus and kstuff lite? There is also a version of kstuff lite by drakmor that you could try as well.

As for the NVMe, the minimum read speed needs to be at least 5500 Mb/s. Check that the one you have fulfills this requirement. Also recommended to use the back USB-A ports instead of the USB-A or USB-C in front. I had issues with the front ports as well.

Another thing you could check is the format of your games as well as the directory. Is it in folder format, exfat etc.? Try another format if one is not working. As for directory, I placed my games directly in the homebrew folder, which worked fine for me.
