I recently purchased a used Japanese 3ds, and performed the JP to NA region swap along with installing cfw. I now realize that the system is still signed into the japanese NNID of the previous owner, and any attempt to sign them out simply prompts me to send them a password reset email, which obviously wont work. Is my only option to reformat the device? What does reformatting a cfw region swapped device entail?
