Xbox Game Pass lineup for August 2024 revealed

Microsoft has announced which games fans can expect to see added to Xbox Game Pass this month. Joining the Game Pass catalog in the month of August will be a set of three games, with more set to arrive later. Creatures of Ava is an indie game where you need to explore the world in order to tame and rescue fantasy creatures, with a release date of August 7th. On the following day, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy will arrive on the service, bringing a remaster of the first three Crash titles. Mafia: Definitive Edition will be playable for Game Pass users on August 13th.

With the addition of these games, four others will be leaving Xbox Game Pass, on August 15th. These games are:
  • Offworld Trading Company
  • The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
  • Airbone Kingdom
  • Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition

That's partially why I never liked paying for PSN/XBL (on One/etc) as the customer didn't get to keep the games permanently as files themselves, but rather a rental.

M$ had the right idea on the 360 days, except afterwards they went the rental route. Meh.

Yep games with gold let you keep the games after. Side note- Original Doom & Doom2 was just added today, with enhanced graphics, and up to 120fps. Is pretty cool.

    can we all agree The Jungle Book Groove Party should have been an N64 title? the beauty of the 32 MB cartridge and the same story and the same story repeated several times but now in the 64-bit-ness, and also probably requiring a controller pak like Mickey Speedway USA, could have been a hit along with Rayman 2, Buck Bumble and Robot: Rocket on Wheels, and also could have used FMV along with the other three games, jeopardy, wheel of fortine and Resident Evil 2
