Does anyone have a good Aroma startup screen? I want to put a splash.png on Aroma, like Mocha, which had the logo on startup, but I can't find a high quality image. I think there isn't an official one, but in case there is, I appreciate it! :D

Mainly searching for some like these:
Aroma.png
Aroma 2.jpg

but with better quality.

EDIT: I was able to create one using this higher quality image as a base :D

EDIT 2: forgot to put here lol:

Sorry for the late reply had a very busy weekend/ start to this week. Just tried and all my vwii shortcuts are working perfectly on latest update.

It’s all good thanks. Somehow my usbloadergx ones started exhibiting a known issue I never ran into before and since it had been a couple of years since setting up I had no idea what happened.

For some reason Maschell posted the solution to wiiu not booting into aroma after the last update on reddit, but not here so:

"Please remove the SNTP-Client.wps from the sd card (wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins) to properly fix your issue . Turning off autoboot doesn't really fix anything "

Thanks for the updates to Aroma as always, great to keep the Wii U scene alive!

I created a somewhat simple, but dark splash screen and thought I'd share. I wish there were ways to change the "Wii U Menu" loading screens as well, as my eyes suffer from the bright white screens.

Feel free to use or modify in any way you see fit.

Hi, I have questions concerning Aroma:
Do plugins and forwarders for aroma works under tiramisu? Do forwarders for Tiramisu works under aroma? Does using EnvironnementSwap-1.0.2 allows potential more compatibility? (I suppose no it's just for changing env).
@Maschell Is it possible a tool to render both environnement more compatible with each other? Mostly render the aroma environnement more compatible with tiramisu so forwarders and retroarch could work?
Or would it be possible to create a tool to convert a non compatible app from an environnement to another?
(I suppose i'm daydreaming but can you just illuminate me?)

(I suppose i'm daydreaming but I just searching an explanation in a line)
1) If the Aroma forwarder is .wuhb, it won't work. And as Tiramisu doesn't have the Plugins Menu, Aroma plugins won't work, only modules and apps can work between them, but some are Aroma-only and other Tiramisu-only.

2) Some Tiramisu forwarders will crash, while others will work just fine.

3) EnvSwap only switches the environment.

4 and 6) There are tools to convert the apps (not every app is able to be converted tho). You can convert from .elf to .rpx with makerpl64.exe (I cannot link where you can find it because idk too and it's copyrighted by Nintendo). And you can convert from .rpx to .elf by using rpl2elf.exe by Hykem (attached to this post).

5) RetroArch works on Aroma now. And the forwarders thing I'm not able to help you.

Kirbybot Thanks for replay man!
1) If the Aroma forwarder is .wuhb Why on earth cannot it be *.RPX and *.wuhb?
If you build a car that rolls on the moon, you can make it roll on the moon AND earth, no?
The perfect Aroma for me:
1 make rpx readible on aroma
2 make aroma compatible with tiramisu old forwarders
3 that makes need to have EnvSwap anymore go aroma ^^
4 no more tool to convert would be needed ^^
5 for RetroArch, didn't know, was on long vacation since when is it compatible? is the latest version still compatible tiramisu? So that make only loadiine and hidtovpad not compatible left on the list for me
7 would it be possible to have a "Aroma update" to be able to install all latest aroma when you have tiramisu?

You don't need a forwarder when you put the Aroma Retroarch files on your SD card and start your WiiU up Retroarch will show in the home menu like any other app/game.

1) Aroma can read .rpx files, it just can't .elf files, which most older homebrew use. Nowadays, most apps are using .wuhb, which only Aroma can read it, but some devs still put the .rpx together inside the folder so that other CFWs can understand it too.

7) You can update Aroma via Tiramisu by downloading the HB App Store version of Aroma Updater.

When you switch to tiramisu environement, will those work? Anyway to make them work in BOTH environnement?

Not sure, but if I'm right, the new HID to VPAD is a plugin instead of an app, so that means this one will not overwrite the older one.

Another thing I forgot to say, while Loadiine is not available on Aroma, there's a thing called SDUSB, which makes the Wii U understand one of the SD Card's partitions as a USB device, meaning you can install Wii U games natively to the SD.

Aroma already supports .rpx files.

That's not how cars work.

There are forwarders that work on Aroma for things like Usb Loader and other homebrew apps, and.wuhb and .rpx files appear directly on the home menu so they don't need a forwarder.

5 for RetroArch, didn't know, was on long vacation since when is it compatible? is the latest version still compatible tiramisu?
I think it's been compatible since a couple weeks ago, I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if this version works on Tiramisu, my guess is that it doesn't.

It already exists and is included with Aroma.

What I meant let me explain: I install "Aroma update" in Tiramisu, and it installs the new os making it work all by Itself, does it do that?
I mean Not just updating files when aroma os is already installed, does it do that?

to the more experienced people, is it a big upgrade over haxchi/coldboot? I have a 5.5.6 Wii U and it still runs fine. Thanks in advance.
Short answer: If you're just playing Wii and Wii U games, probably not worth the upgrade. Everything else, most definitely is. I'd suggest that you switch to it as soon as you're able to as it's much, much better overall.

Longer answer: Aroma comes with a bunch of plugins. From the ones that come included, I personally use Bloopair (for pairother BT controllers), FTPiiU (for FTP access in the background) and SwipSwapMe (for swapping TV and gamepad screens whenever I need one of the other if playing only on gamepad). Nowadays, it comes with the Inkay plugin which enables Pretendo which is a replacement for Nintendo online services. Other than that, I use Padcon (for turning off or putting into sleep the gamepad), re_nfpii (for amiibo emulation), GiveMii YouTube (for enabling YouTube app on Wii U to work once again) and many more. Even RetroArch's Aroma build is getting there, which is really nice, but for now I still use EnvSwap in order to switch between Tiramisu and Aroma because I have Tiramisu build installed on my Wii U.

You don't have to completely remove Haxchi from your system in order to use Aroma, just make sure that you don't use both Haxchi/CBHC and Aroma/Tiramisu at the same time. You'll need to remove CBHC, however, as you'd want to coldboot/autoboot into Aroma instead. Why keep Haxchi? Well, nothing much really, maybe just for the legacy reasons and if you're using some ancient homebrew that didn't get an Aroma port or similar/better implementation.
