Is there a guide on migrating from Tiramisu to Aroma? Will all my WUP installed titles vanish?
All you need to do is download the Aroma files, put them on your SD card and switch to Aroma environment. Easiest way is through envSwap app, if you'd like to keep Tiramisu for Retroarch stuff.

Aroma Beta 21 has been released!

Changelog:
- Avoid/reduce screen corruption when booting into Aroma
- Close the quick start menu on the gamepad if not autobooting into an environment
- Make quick starting titles more consistent if selecting the titles takes longer than 5-10 seconds
- Launching title via the quick start menu will now show the correct splash screen and play the transition audio
- Add option to show a custom splash screen on boot. It will be loaded from `sd:/wiiu/environments/aroma/splash.png`. Recommended resolution is 1280x720 or 1920x1080
- Make config menu opening a bit more stable
- Fix support for Motion Plus controllers in certain scenarios (thanks @Andrew1Hawes)
- Use steady/monotonic clock for the timers in NotificationModule (thanks @dkosmari)
- Mocha: add DLP permission group to homebrew titles
- Fix booting into vWII HBC from AutobootModule

Make sure to update the EnvironmentLoader as well

Run the Aroma Updater or download the latest Aroma version here: https://aroma.foryour.cafe/

yo that's like the one thing I couldn't stand. well done

hopefully it can be eliminated entirely one day
I don't get that. Its just visible for a blink of an eye. It is not like that it is permanently there. Neither you don't stare on that for hours nor does it affect your gameplay experience. I saw a lot of pointless threads on reddit where ppl get "a bit mad" about that...wtf? It is just an indicator that your *hax is loaded properly and not worth fixing it imho.

100% in agreement with you on that.

Now that it has support for custom splash screens I think it can be reduced even further by using the default Wii U splash screen, I have not tested it myself but I'll attach the png here for anyone who wants to give it a try.

I remember seeing some weird pixelated screen for a fraction of a second with older versions of Aroma, but I haven't seen that in the last 3 or 4 versions, for me it just boots like normal, but I have ISFSHAX installed, which changes the way Aroma is loaded, so I'm not sure if that has any effect. Maybe you could try ISFShax to see if it helps keep the OCD at bay.

already on isfshax, it had the same glitchy white line on black background as if you used failst

it doesnt really affect the visuals or the duration of the little glitchiness that happens, but it does look nicer anyway because this makes the black screen cut back to wii u splash screen quicker. or so it feels like

Registered an account just to thank Madchell, and to let you know this latest update doesn't work on my wiiu, now I'm stuck at the wiiu loading screen. Tried manually downloading and replacing the files and nothing either, had to boot to tiramisu to play some games.

Probably the file system on your SD is just corrupted. Format it again it again it use the file system check

Hi, I have a dumb question, what would happened if I boot the Wii U without sd card (boot into stock OS) and launch a dumped game ? Brick, impossible to launch the title message, or anything else ?

Ok but non chance of brick ? It's in order to know if it would be too easy to brick for people using my console

if you try launch a nusspli game on the stock OS the system will see an invalid tiket so it'll prompt you to delete that game, if you select yes it will launch the storage manager app (iirc), if you select no then nothing will happen. But no risk of brick.
