Hey, where/how do I get the Retroarch version that is compatible with Aroma?
Have been seeing folks talk about it here but did not find it on reddit or any YT guide videos, I know they are not the best as they are quickly outdate, but I really wanted some directions, hope someone from here could point out, thanks for listening.
There's a link to the Retroarch Aroma WIP build in my signature (the Green link)
Download and extract it to your SD card, then the Retroarch icon should appear in the WiiU Menu.

I'm having lots of audio popping while trying it, is there a way to help with that?
EDIT: Disabling V-sync seems to work well enough
Now I just need to know why the voices are so high pitched!

Following ploggy's instructions I was able to fix the audio pitch issue.

- Load PSX Core
- Go to Audio Settings
- Change Audio Driver to Ax Pro
- Set sample rate to 44000 (This one has to be done every time you load the PSX core).

Right, Core override will save the Audio settings :)
For those that don't know...

Once ingame:
Open Quick Menu.
Overrides.
Save Core Overrrides.
This should save you having it re-adjust your Audio Settings ;)

Make sure that in your retroarch.cfg you have the following key like this: assets_directory = "fs:/vol/content/assets". This will speed up the loading from WiiU menu when starting retroarch.wuhb (84 MB, in sd:/wiiu/apps)
In Ploggy sig retroarch.wuhb archive is 7,4MO may I miss something ?

Thanks for charing you ra config file. What is your tree under fs:/vol/external01/romsaves/ ?

Can you try to compile the openLara core for Wii U?

According to this GitHub issue this didn't work in the past:
https://github.com/XProger/OpenLara/issues/15

Oh and Mr.Boom by any chance? :P
Sorry, that's just me being greedy. ^^
Open lara is a no go iirc, it would need some WiiU specific work to get running.. More than just a few Makefile tweaks anyway :P
Done MrBoom tho ;)
@ploggy i have black screen after updated to latest build (2024-07-28), should i deleted retroarch.cfg ?
Try it? usually fixes the weird issues :P

my bad. i have two retroarch.wuhb files copied into diferent directory
deleted one solved it

im having trouble using controller other than gamepad, i tested using ps3 & switch controller with bloopair
i already set wii u pro controller on port 1 & wii u gamepad on port 2

but i can only control the game using gamepad, the only button that worked on ps3 & switch controller is the home button (quick menu)
any settings that i need change ?

also if i tried to change port 3 (wii u pro controller is the default), retroarch hangs
