The title is true.
For some reason when the Switch heats up, only the LCD backlight stops working.
The system itself remains activated.
If you look closely at the screen, you can see that the video is on and only the backlight is off.
In case you are wondering, when the back panel stopped, the voltage on the four pins of the connector was the same as in the sleep state.
Of course the game sounds are still playing and I can go back to the home screen and do touch operations.
If I press the power back on at that time to return to the lock screen, the lock screen appears normal.
However, as soon as I unlock the system, it goes dark.
If I let the Switch cool down a bit, the Switch will show up correctly.
The LCD panel has already been replaced and the same thing happens even if I use another spare original casing.
Is there a problem with the backlight driver?

First, is this running stock firmware?

Second, have you checked for any potential bad solder joints on the mainboard?

I'm gonna guess a cracked BGA solder ball (like XBox 360 RRoDs) when the chip heats up it's just enough for the cracked joint to lose contact.
Hope I'm wrong though.

Yes
I have not modified the firmware and am using 18.1.0.

I still think there may be something wrong with the chip somewhere.
Replacing the grease on all the heatsinks and shields did improve things until I could play The Legend of Zelda on a blanket and see the symptoms.
However, the phenomenon of the backlight shutting off before the overheat warning remains.
