ive been thinking of doing a fresh install but idk if this will solve the issue id assume so but was really hoping to avoid doing it. so odd cause originally the file was an xci with 74 dlcs now i cant install any copy of xenoverse 2, including the copy i bought from the shop... im wondering if the xci just left a file somewhere that just didnt erase or maybe a config file was modified and now wont allow me to use nsp or xci version of this game... idk but everything else seems to be working except this 1 game. so odd. i have latest hekate and atmosphere installed both running on custom firmware 18.1.0 as i mentioned so idk whats wrong.

ive also tried installing xenoverse 2 through dbi, awoo installer, and tinfoil 18.0.0. none have seemed to work.

This is the only thing that comes to my mind. Double check it you have 'am' folder inside 'atmosphere/exefs_patches'. If yes then delete it, reboot your Switch and game should work.

I have no idea then. How did you dump your game? Try again maybe
i got the file from a website but the file has been taken down from the site =/ unfortunately i deleted my copy i had saved on my tb harddrive to.... i installed it originally using awoo installer and uninstalled throu the system settings where data management is. i guess i shudnt have done it lol cause every file i try now fails to open. i tried different sources including the eshop different xci different nsp nothing lol so its looking like a complete reset maybe idk. i even tried deleted save data after using jdsk i think it was to make a backup thinking maybe the save file was corrupt but nope still wont load. so yea idk wat i gotta do. maybe i need to update sys modules for firmware 18.1.0 idk.

Did you try going into the maintenance mode in order to clear the system cache? If not, do the following:

If you're using OFW and/or sysNAND CFW:

  1. Make sure that your Internet connection is disabled if you're connected right now and remove any saved connections as well (unless you have DNS MITM in place).
  2. Turn off your console (when in home menu, hold the power button for a few seconds and select power off).
  3. Hold volume + and volume - at the same time and, while holding them, press the power button. After a while your Switch will enter into the maintenance mode. At this point any pending updates and cache is cleared on your sysNAND, you don't need to press and/or select anything.
  4. Press the power button once again. It'll shut down the console.
  5. Reboot to your sysNAND CFW the way you usually do and make sure to activate flight mode. (Connecting to the Internet is safe only if you have 90DNS or DNS MITM in place.
if you're using emuNAND CFW, it's a bit different:

  1. Make sure that your Internet connection is disabled if you're connected right now and remove any saved connections as well (unless you have DNS MITM in place).
  2. Turn off your console (when in home menu, hold the power button for a few seconds and select power off).
  3. Right before you send your fusse.bin payload, hold volume + and volume - at the same time. Keep holding until you get into maintenance mode (you'll see Atmosphere bootlogo first, Switch logo after that one). After a while your Switch should enter into the maintenance mode. At this point any pending updates and cache is cleared on your emuNAND, you don't need to press and/or select anything.
  4. Press the power button once again. It'll shut down the console.
  5. Reboot to your emuNAND CFW the way you usually do and make sure to activate flight mode. (Connecting to the Internet is safe only if you have 90DNS or DNS MITM in place.
If that doesn't help, try installing the game with DBI instead. I never had an issue with it. Here's a video tutorial on how to use it.
Otherwise, check this thread for more troubleshooting info.

Indeed. sys-patch patches whatever it needs to and then it turns off.

yea i tried the maintenance mode too and still not working, also tried DBI, it did tell me my file was orrupt and even tried installing it but when it finished the switch had to update the file... still did not work, i then uninstalled the file and reinstalled using eshop and still wont boot, tryed updating with the dlcs through tinfoil and stil wont work. i think im gonna need to do a complete reinstall. doesnt seem like i can get around this. i even checked for sys module update and im on v1.2.2-9b114b3 far as i know its the latest release. still cant get this game to load lol so annoying.

Try 'Cleanup orphaned files' in DBI and then installing the game one more time.

They are on the respective pages:

https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases
https://github.com/CTCaer/Hekate/releases
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/ (on the OP)
https://gbatemp.net/download/sys-patch-1-5-2-binary-fw-18-1-0-atmosphere-1-7-1.38686/

extract all zip files and copy to the root of your sd card,

So I decided to try updating the games via nsp to version 1.22 of xenoverse 2 through dbi and I got this. Now the game wasn't working b4 hand but I'm assuming this could be a reason y.

And upon exiting dbi now xenoverse says important files were missing and is downloading them now 🙏

Please rotate future images to the proper orientation before uploading. I think your file/source may be bad. Also, perhaps using split file is causing problems? And you're installing xci's/nsps and then going online to allow them to update from the eshop???? :O
