Do PS1 games have more lag than in the PS2?

by adding extra post processing "to make the picture look better", most cheaper 4k roku TVs, at least when i made that comment even said in the settings that it added input lag

May the same thing happen in newer/more expensive TVs? But I thought the game mode's purpose was to decrease post-processing (thus decreasing input lag but graphics as well, so I don't get why your TV said it was to make the picture look better), not actually increase it. By enabling settings inside game mode, may it increase lag even further?

Also, in my TV's case, there are 3 settings called "Game Optimizer" and there's no game mode. There's Picture's "Game Optimizer", Sound's "Game Optimizer" and "Game Optimizer" so is game mode the latter?

idk i don't buy new TVs since i value having an abundance of video inputs, this is just from a brief look at the settings on my mom's TV when she got it a handful of years ago, my current tv is a 1080p toshiba tv from like 2010 with a severe ghosting issue if it stays on too long lol
