Is it possible to install any Linux operating system on an XBox Series X/S?

Greetings!
My name is Raffaele, I am a fan of anime, manga, music and a bit of technology too.
I'll try to briefly explain why I'm contacting you:
My adventure with Linux has now started since 2022 (if I'm not mistaken), after upgrading my PC (Lenovo IdeaPad 3) to Windows 11, I immediately decided to change the operating system and install a Linux operating system (first I tried Zorin OS, then Linux Mint, since they are considered the simplest, and, in my opinion, with the most similar interface to Windows), I'm still using it and I'm having a great time.
Browsing online, I discovered that in the past a way was found to install Linux on older XBox models and this is precisely the reason why I thought of contacting you:
Since in the past a way was found to install Linux on older XBoxes (XBox 360 etc…), Do you know if there is a way to install Linux on newer XBoxes like XBox One, XBox Series X/S? If yes, how feasible is it?

I'd like to install Linux on my XBox Series S (which I've had since 2021), just like that, to install a PC operating system on a gaming console.
Also because I read online that a Linux system has been developed for PS4, but currently there is nothing public to install Linux on new generation XBoxes such as XBox One and XBox Series X / S, so I thought I'd turn to you.

At the moment changing any of the Xbox One/SX system components beyond what MS allows you to do is just not possible.
You probably can build a VM in developer mode but that doesn't change the system itself.

linux is kinda useless with the series x, since we can build homebrew. only problem being that it's limited in dev mode, which a vm of linux would be as well. I think it's limited to 4GBs with game instead of app being used. I do not know if this is true of retail though or how much we have to work with there. however, I've noticed no difference with say retroarch between both versions, like if retail were faster or better in any way.

Subject to drivers, a natively/non-vm running Linux could potentially still be useful as it effectively turns the system into a full computer and software may not need to be ported to support Dev Mode, as well as being able to use e.g. Steam and Proton.

As a VM though, especially if it has to use software CPU/GPU emulation, I could see it being more of a novelty due to performance reasons.

How would you go about installing a natively running Linux/no VM on an XBox Series X/S?

You can’t even do it as a game developer. Even games are designed to run under a VM.
The entire Xbox One is designed to be totally virtualized, the system shell/app environment is a VM, the game is a dedicated high performance VM.

My PS4 base model with Linux running on it 4gb with 8gb swapspace is better than my i7 stock all in one PC HP with touch screen and dvd drive not gaming but still plays games way smoother plus I can use steam and play payday 2 with mods online. I would love to do the same with my Xbox series s one day can't wait I'm sure it will come and be great. They are working on gpu passthrough for windows 10 on PS4 rn

I gotta disagree. Tons and tons of apps I use on Linux would just not work through basic UWP apps.

It's not just about you though it's about everyone else. Better than nothing at all I mean people are enjoying running no root kali Linux on their smartwatch and you can't do hardly anything with that.
I was more thinking an actual desktop experience without having to constantly swap between UWPs.
